I don’t really care whether WCR’s name comes first or not. Why should I? It’s fine, ladies first, you know? 😂 Billing fights happen everywhere nowadays, and I don’t think that should automatically become a reason to drag the ML. At the end of the day, both fandoms should still be able to protect the drama together despite disagreements over billing.

For example, with Chasing Dreams, CZY and ZJY fans also had some conflicts at first, but later things became much more harmonious because both sides wanted to support and protect the drama. ZJY’s and CZY's fans mostly minded their own business and didn’t keep dragging each other down which made the whole atmosphere much better. So that make me feel to support the drama even more.. ....

Billing again? That topic is already outdated. Billing isn’t even worth arguing about anymore, especially after they introduced other ways to use character rankings or whether based on their name instead.

Is there anything else showing CZY fans attacking WCR? Because what we were actually talking about was the CP issue and how some fans use pairings to disrespect or sideline one actor in favor of another?

Then I’ll trust you and try to regain some faith in this drama again!
Let’s at least wait until the trailer comes out and see what the actual direction looks like, okay?

I also genuinely want the drama to do well, with a proper story and a convincing love line between the ML and FL. If the trailer shows that the production handled the characters and relationships properly, I’ll be more than happy to give it a fair chance again.

Nope, I don’t really see many CZY fans attacking WCR. Most of them are mainly focused on CZY anyway. Compared with some other actors’ fandoms, CZY’s fandom is actually pretty low-key and usually doesn’t seem interested in fighting. If you’ve seen how badly some drama fandoms have been fighting lately, you probably know what I mean 😅

And no, CZY fans aren’t shipping him with other actresses just to drag WCR down. If you’ve seen any Weibo posts doing that specifically shipping another actress with CZY’s character just to attack WCR, you can point them out to me. (while I have seen plenty of post pairing FL and SML, you can check it in weibo drama fan page)

And I’m not attacking WCR here either. She works really hard, and I actually like her a lot. You can check my messages below in this thread, I’ve never said anything bad about her. What annoys me is simply the behavior of some of her fans, that’s all.

And don’t mind me, I’m just here to chit-chat 🙂 But if you read the comments below, you’ll probably understand what triggered me to start talking like this in the first place 😂 I’m not trying to be the bad guy or start any drama, I’m just chatting and sharing my thoughts 🙂

By the way, I have nothing against WCR at all. I actually really like her. I’m just annoyed by some of her fans, that’s all.

The reason I love talking with fellow CZY fans is that we automatically understand what’s going on when it comes to CZY and somehow we always end up agreeing with each other 🤣

It may look good on paper. Do they have good acting? Yes, maybe.

But if you had seen how disrespectful some FL and SML fans have been toward CZY as the actual ML throughout this whole process, I don’t think you would say it so easily. I’ve been following Weibo and the drama’s social-media activity closely, so I’ve seen a lot of what has been happening behind the scenes.

At first, I had faith in the production too, just like you, even with this director, because he genuinely seems like a nice guy. But after seeing certain sides push the CP so aggressively everywhere, with trending topics and wording that make it feel as if the SML is the actual ML, I’ve honestly lost a lot of that faith because of how disrespectful the whole situation has become.

Sometimes it really feels like CZY is being pushed out of the conversation simply because some people are so determined to hype the FL–SML pairing. And these trending searches don’t just appear out of nowhere, this kind of promotion takes money and effort. So to me, it feels very intentional, almost like they are trying to “flip the table” by using the CP to grab attention and shift the spotlight.

What makes it even funnier is that when I click into some of those CP trending topics, so many posts look almost identical, same wording, same structure, same pattern, like they were generated from the same template 😂 Meanwhile, CZY’s individual wrap-up video which simply showcases his acting, managed to gain more than 11 million views without relying on that kind of trending-topic push. And that, to me, says a lot about why CZY was cast as the ML in the first place, he already brings attention on his own.

So no, I don’t feel like I have to pretend and praise their “chemistry” just to be nice.
If other people enjoy that pairing, that’s fine, but I’m also allowed to focus on CZY, his acting, and his character instead.

And next time, please don’t cast CZY as the ML just to use the attention and visibility he brings to the drama, only to make him feel secondary in the promotion afterward. If someone else wants to be treated like the “MALE LEAD” that badly, then just cast him as the ML from the beginning 🙃

Hahaha, that’s exactly why I’m here 🙂 Because it feels like the same lack of respect is happening all over again. So at this point, I don’t really feel the need to keep playing nice or showing respect to people who clearly aren’t giving the same respect in return.

Actually, I’d love to see CZY end up with Cheng Xiao even more!
She’s absolutely gorgeous, her face is seriously stunning.
It’s honestly a little sad that she’s only playing the SFL.
Personally, I think she suits CZY much better and their long-time friendship would probably make their interactions feel really natural too.

I noticed something during the wrap-up event when CZY was standing beside the director.
The director looked really emotional almost like he was about to cry.
He turned toward CZY and looked at him and CZY immediately comforted him by patting him on the back 🥹

It honestly made me feel like CZY must have built a really good relationship with the director, especially since he was the person the director instinctively turned to in that emotional moment. From the behind the scenes clips too, they seemed to laugh and get along a lot during filming.
CZY really does have that sunshine energy, he always seems to encourage the people around him.

The Fusheng director has definitely received a lot of criticism, so I really hope he worked hard to improve with this drama and that the final result proves people wrong.

But judging from how heavily the drama is already being marketed through CP hype except from CZY’s side 😂 I honestly don’t know what to expect anymore beyond CZY’s character and acting.

I still kind of feel for the director. He seems like a decent guy and he appeared to have a genuinely good relationship with CZY during filming. Now I’m just hoping the production itself treats CZY fairly and doesn’t end up disappointing him the way some production teams have in the past.

But one thing I can definitely say is, the costumes already won 😆👏

If they keep promoting him that aggressively, he’ll probably land more ML roles eventually, so they really don’t need to worry that much 🥱

I love Bodi’s dramas, they usually have really good production quality.

If it’s a romance drama, I really like the female director of HL / Mr. Bad. She handles romance very well. But if it’s a costume drama, then yeah, I’d probably prefer the director of FH.

Again, if you’re watching for the chemistry between the ML and FL... there’s basically none 🤪 But hey, you can definitely expect plenty of romance between the SML and FL instead 🤪 They practically love each other to death 😭😭😭

That’s why I’ve basically abandoned C-dramas already.
If CZY weren’t in C-ent, I honestly don’t think I’d come back to watch C-dramas at all 🫤

Yes!! I’ve replayed his wrap-up video so many times!
I really love his acting and that powerful voice of his.
Even though the audio is straight from the filming set, his voice still sounds so clear and strong.

If the SML wants to be the ML so badly then let him be 😂 And if the FL’s fans prefer the SML then let them have him too.
We’ll just treat CZY as the true main character and pray for the FL and SML to get their happy ending together 🙂🤣

CZY is basically a saint anyway 😂 He accepted this drama to play a character who seems noble, self-sacrificing and willing to give things up for others, so honestly, it sounds like a pretty good role for him. Right?!?!

We’ll just focus on CZY’s character and acting... and maybe get slightly annoyed by all the comments yearning for the FL–SML love story along the way. That’s it 🤪🤪🤪

And you know what? When it finally airs, I feel like hardly anyone will even talk about the acting 🙃 What people will care about is the CP and romance and from what I’ve seen, the SML’s side is already pushing the romance hype with the FL really hard.

So for me, Ao Chi is the main character here. That’s it 😂

At this point, I’m only going to expect two things from this drama, CZY’s character and CZY’s costumes. Everything else, can stay far away from me 🤣

I think they’re still in the editing process and they really shouldn’t rush it.
They should make sure the final product has good quality before releasing any content especially with this director.

Have you watched it? If he really “blew up” after POJ then why does this drama still have so few watchers when he is actually the male lead there? 🤔
He already has a drama where he is the ML, you know? So why bother watching this one just to hype him when he isn’t even the male lead here?

Anyway, if you want to watch him with WCR, then yes, he does have a lot of scenes with her, and if you want to treat him as the ML in your own mind, then go ahead.

CZY is here to act and do justice to his role, not to rely on CP hype with the FL like someone.

And maybe you’re right, they could have cast DK as the ML instead. But from my perspective, they cast CZY as the ML to brings much more attention to the project,
That might also be why the SML gets much more exposure here than he would in a drama where he is actually the male lead. Because if hardly anyone pays attention when he is the one carrying the drama, then suddenly getting this much buzz as the SML says quite a lot, doesn’t it?

His acting is what we can rely on!! and that is the value of this drama for me!!
