As I mentioned, I admire him for taking on a role that requires him to act alongside many veteran actors. He likely knew he would face criticism compared to them when the drama comes out.

And yes, he has received a lot of criticism from YXH accounts on Weibo, claiming his acting isn’t good and that he’s not suitable for this type of role (Dejavu ?? ) .
Despite that, DNAD has achieved impressive ratings, over 2 on CCTV, which is no small feat for the first few episodes!

Some say the good ratings on CCTV are due to the presence of veteran actors and the established fan base for this type of drama, so it’s not surprising that the ratings are good. However, if the ratings were low, I’m pretty sure they would blame it on CZY.

Below might come off as a bit negative, so feel free to ignore it.
As a fan of CZY, I’m prepared to endure both the good and the bad feedback.

So because they can't blame him on CCTV's rating , so they turns to blame him on iQIYI's online view instead, which is not good, so they said because he has no popularity and no talent. 😑 😑 😑
Whatever reason it is, I stop caring as I watch the drama myself and really like the drama that I found myself rewatch some scenes many time.
I don’t care about popularity or trending/traffic actors that many tried to compare him with.

Lastly, I really hope he takes on similar projects again later because I love seeing him in this kind of role. I just want to see CZY explore a variety of roles in different dramas. 🙂

There are many scenes that I keep re-watched. And I will write the review on DNAD page later.

The part of the drama I like the most so far is the ending scene of episode 5, where LSB has a flashback about the bombing incident from his time as a policeman.
LSB wanted to be a good cop, but his best friend, Xu Wei urged him to ignore the case in order to survive. This decision led to innocent people being falsely accused and killed.
In that moment, LSB was truly broken—not only because he discovered the painful truth he couldn’t change, but also because he felt betrayed by his friend.

I’ve watched this scene repeatedly because the acting between CZY and Sun Yan (who portrays Xu Wei) is spot on! Plus, the excellent OST sung by LYN makes the scene even more immersive.

I want to share my thoughts about DNAD on CZY's page first because I want to have an honest discussion with our yuanbao here.

To be frank, during the first three episodes, I still viewed the drama through the lens of a CZY fan, so I didn’t fully grasp LSB's character. However, starting with episode 4, and especially in episode 5, I stopped seeing CZY and instead saw Lin Shao Bai. He really immersed me in the character! The memories of his previous roles, like ZSY, DJX, and YTH, faded away.

Now, he’s managed to convince me of this new character once again.

I’ve been quiet these past few days because I wanted to focus on watching DNAD after it airs, and I’ve been a bit busy too, haha.

After watching the first seven episodes, I want to express my admiration for CZY. He’s a THAT young actor who dares to step out of his comfort zone for the LSB role, and I really respect him for that!

While watching this drama, I try to see it from an audience perspective rather than just as a CZY fan, so I can form an honest opinion about the plot and the acting.

Hope he will not be hurt again this time.
