Many years ago, I saw some comments on WB questioning why they casted a 15-year-old kid (referring to CZY) to play Xiao Yu’er. 🤣 The funny thing is, Xiao Yu’er in the novel is actually 15 years old! This can make it challenging for him to land leading roles that require a more mature appearance. Even though we, as fans, believe he can handle such roles, the public still tends to view him as a young student in the Chinese domestic industry anyway.
