Title Anna
Inventing Anna is based on a true story/real person. Even if they did the same exact story it wouldn't be a "remake",…
Although this doesn't seem to say directly it's based on Anna Delvey/Anna Sorokin, but maybe it's inspired by her.

Title Anna
so basically remake of Inventing Anna?!
Inventing Anna is based on a true story/real person. Even if they did the same exact story it wouldn't be a "remake", (excluding anything that was made up for IA). Anyone can make a story based of a real person or event.

My thoughts exactly! I hope this becomes a new trend for romantic comedies, 12 episodes seem to be the sweet spot…
yes! i think it helps that this is an adaption of an existing story rather than an original story, i think in most cases kdramas end up being too long or they add a lot of weird plot points/filler to justify the 16-ep length.
in other cases (usually adaptations of plot-heavy or ongoing webtoons/novels) 16 episodes is too short. i hope in general we start seeing more dramas that are just the length they need to be.

I'm glad this drama is only 12 eps. Honestly, it feels like it could've even been 10 if they had paced things a bit differently. Definitely glad it wasn't stretched out to 16 or more. this might be my new favorite romcom of the past few years.

The American show "Person Of Interest" I think has a lot of potential for a kdrama adaptation. I wouldn't it to be a 1 for 1 remake, I think the core characters and plot points would be able to fit into a standard 16 ep format, but they could do up to two seasons.

The Manga/Anime "Yona Of The Dawn" could be really good, especially if it goes past where the anime ended.

Honestly, I'm of the opinion that most dramas are fine with one season, and could even be trimmed to be shorter. I can think of a few I wish had been longer while it was being made, but none I could see having a 2nd season tacked on, unless it was more like a spinoff with focus on different characters.

Biggest exceptions are mainly adaptations of webtoons/novels/etc, since those have a lot of material to adapt and do warrant an additional season.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu I feel I'm gonna have a mental breakdown waiting for this. Thank the adaptation Gods for picking…
Currently the content rating listed here is "18+ Restricted (violence & profanity)" so I'm hopeful.
I did read though, in the webtoon Gerard is supposed to be super tall, but he's just 6'2"? Which isn't short, but shorter than I expected. Gray is supposed to be 5'2", but google says PJH is 5'8". I'm sure there's plenty of tall actors out there to pick from, but I think the adaptation won't have as pronounced height differences as the webtoon lol.

Title Word of Honor Spoiler
watched ep 2, not really a fan of the protagonists so far, especially Wen Kexing. am i supposed to root for a character who, unless i'm misunderstanding, just had his underlings murder an entire sect, including servants?
is he always going to be like this and is the narrative going to expect me to cheer him on? i'm willing to give the show a chance, but i'm not a fan of shows where i'm expected to root for a character who kills innocent people. to me that's not being "morally ambiguous", that's just being a terrible person.

I've only known Zhang Cheng Ling for two minutes but if anything happens to him I will kill everyone in this room and then myself.

I am in LOVE with this webtoon, but I am not sure how well the story and fighting will translate to a drama. I…
Nevermind about about the Playlist Global thing, apparently this is going to be a "Wavve" original, so I'm not sure about episode length, but it looks like they don't offer English subtitles at the moment? Looks like we might be relying on fansubs for this one. https://mydramalist.com/article/ott-platform-wavve-reveals-its-2022-lineup

I am in LOVE with this webtoon, but I am not sure how well the story and fighting will translate to a drama.

I also read this is being made by Playlist, which makes me think these two seasons will have short episodes. I can handle the fight scenes being toned down for the adaptation honestly, because to me what I love most about the webtoon is the characters and their relationships. I'm worried that if this is a shorter drama, we won't get to see that aspect in depth.

Not sure how I feel about Park Jihoon as Gray as I haven't seen his acting before, but I'm honestly more curious about who will play our other Main Boys like Big Ben, Alex, Gerard, Eugene, etc. (I'm used to the webtoon translation's names for the characters sorry lol)

i use the ublock origin extension (for desktop browsers) & have never had an issue w/ youtube.
It depends on what browser you're using. If you're using chrome or firefox just search for "ublock origin" and you should see the chrome or mozilla add-on page.
I'm not familiar with safari so if that's what you're using you might have to look for a different adblock application.
