Not that i would complain or not like happy end, but especially in these historical/two guys circumstances does not the resolution come off as a "drastic twist of the story", but quite natural and accurate resolution. Again - happy for any exception. But... maybe that is why often the moder one have the happy ending the historical set don't / can't have. And that is exactly why I would be curious about resolutin of Kill to Love set in modern settings.
