i respectfully disagree. i just think khemjira was marketed wrongly. its a slow burn romance first and foremost with a mystery plot in a spiritual setting and thats where it aces. i just don’t know why they led people to expect a full fledged horror bl. wrong expectations always lead to disappointments.
him getting signed to domundi was the best decision ever for his career's sucess and khemjira would truly not become a once in a while phenonema that it is right now without his presence but i wish he didn't get into the whole thai bls fixed ship business.
i feel like he could be like ohm pawat who would have great chemistry regardless of whom he is paired with and i really wouldve loved seeing him being paired with different actors.
finally got to watching and finishing this after taking a bl break. now i regret not watching it while it was…
also the cast was just spectacular. keng genuinely surprised me because i was just expecting yet another handsome guy who cant act at all to save his life. also the women in the cast >>>>>>
finally got to watching and finishing this after taking a bl break. now i regret not watching it while it was airing because i feel like a bl phenomena like this one happens so rarely and it wouldve been fun to discuss this show with everyone while the episodes were on air.
domundi is crazy for having both my favorite (this one) and my least favorite (thou shall not be named) thai bl of 2025 being made by them. i was genuinely expecting them to screw this up somehow and somewhere based on their history but i'm so glad they didn't and the series kept up its momentum throughout. this has to be their biggest sign to move to more mature and serious scripts.
someone said highest praise one can have for a show is when you say you will badly miss it. that's how i feel about this one. i really hope this show wasn't a "lightning in a bottle" for them and they are never able to replicate what made this one so good. sure the show was still not perfect but i feel like this is where the good parts can easily justify the bad ones.
that was such a fun silly watch idc. will miss the characters badly. been following the series since the first ep and didn’t lose interest at all which hasn’t happened to me in such a long time.
kbls have been going downhill this year and this bl’s honestly no exception but damn id rewatch this all over again and again for that fine ass main lead and the kiss scenes. such an eye candy.
as for the show, the plot honestly had a lot of potential but the execution obviously suffers heavily from low budget and runtime. everyone’s a bit too one dimensional. lots of plot holes. the swoon worthy moments were nice but rest of the show was very rough.
still would recommend watching it just for the leads and the chemistry.
my first bl ever!! this was genuinely just so viral. the pandemic really helped boost its popularity. and i don’t know why people are arguing. there are definitely a lot of pretty big bl shows that followed after this but this show definitely played the biggest role in introducing the masses to bl.
i don’t have the guts to rewatch it though because i know i would totally despise it now after so many high quality bls from not only thailand but south korea, taiwan, japan and now china as well. but back then? this gave me so many butterflies that no show could ever give.
honestly looking back, it’s crazy to think how much bls have progressed since this. we have so much variety now. so many other countries rode into the hype as well. the current political landscape all over the globe has made a lot of production companies outside thailand hesitant again but i’m hopeful and sure that we’ll never go back.
its truly shameful that neither of bright or win touched a bl script again.
i hate to be that person because i genuinely love aouboom and it’s been ages but i’m still so disappointed that ohm had to be replaced. this show was a perfect fit for him and he honestly added a lot of star factor to the line up. i wanted to see him in this one badly. something just feels missing with the current lineup now.
the first season, while not perfect, had a lot going on for it. if they make this more tame, less experimental, and make it play out like any other bl, then this show’s doomed for. and i have a very bad feeling that they might.
holding on as much as i can before i start so the weekly wait isn’t that annoying. how is it compared to the next prince in terms of quality and writing?
well that was a cute ending atleast i guess. a bit shameful they didn’t do more for the side characters even though the runtime was like an hour and 30 mins long.
it’s def a bl but the marketing team seems scared as hell saying that. so many mixed signals. nothing will make me enjoy a reels format show though. such a shame bc the trailer did seem promising. i just wish someone leaks the original footage in the 16:9 format eventually lol

like their acting was just top tier.

i just wish it never got so corny like a typical old thai lakorn near the end
still, amazing cinematography and acting that i do have to praise.

and what’s up with all the mixed signals? hakyeon keeps saying it’s a bl in his interviews but tving is promoting it as a bromance…?
