Cool, thanks for the numbers, but all that really proves is that Thai BLs have way less to work with. No one’s expecting Downton Abbey levels of production from TNP. The point is, for the budget it did have, the show still dropped the ball in key areas.

It’s not about matching Western budgets, it’s about using what you have well. And when other BLs with smaller budgets manage tighter storytelling, better pacing, and cleaner direction, there’s no excuse. TNP had the resources to do more, and it just didn’t deliver. That’s what people are calling out.

Then maybe stop acting like most criticism is worthless just because it doesn’t meet your standards. People have been making short, clear points about what isn’t working in the series, you just don’t seem to take them seriously unless they’re wrapped in a way you approve of.

Not every viewer is going to give you perfectly structured feedback. They’re reacting to what they’re watching, and that’s valid. If you really don’t only respond to praise, then start showing that instead of dismissing half the comment section.

If someone sticks around for 14 weeks saying it sucks, maybe take the hint that something about the show isn't landing for a chunk of viewers. Dismissing that as “deserving derision” just shows you’re more interested in defending the show than actually listening to criticism.
