Jun's face when Sorn said they're only FWB lowkey breaks my heart
Sorn is such a heart breaker. He is spraking in tongues. We do not want reading in between the lies, we want Jun to finally hear you clearly say you love him.
Finally have actors acting mature instead of like kids, like in some University themed BLs I have seen. They are acting like how normal 18 and 19 years olds.
THE CASTING ISSUE:
Preach. There's no excuse for casting actors in BL roles who clearly aren't comfortable with same-sex intimacy. It's disrespectful to:
The LGBTQ+ community (we're not your career stepping stone)
BL fans (stop baiting us with half-baked romances)
The actors themselves (why put them in that position?)
THE HOMOPHOBIA REALITY CHECK:
Color Rush bullying was a wake-up call. When "fans" turn vicious over actors not wanting to participate in season 2.
You're right - we do live in a BL bubble. Many idols/actors might be privately homophobic while cashing BL checks. The irony burns.
PRODUCTION COMPANIES NEED TO DO BETTER:
Using underage actors as excuses to avoid intimacy? Cheap.
Adapting queer stories while sanitizing them? Cowardly. (Looking at you, Heesu in Class 2).
Love in the Big City worked because it committed - more productions need that energy.
THE SOLUTION?
Cast openly LGBTQ+ actors (where possible)
Or at least allies genuinely comfortable with queer roles
Stop greenlighting BLs just for quick cash grabs
HARD AGREE on your final point: Leave BL to creators who actually care about representation. We deserve stories made with respect, not exploitation.
(Now excuse me while I go rewatch To My Star for the 100th time to cleanse my soul.)
