10/10 An epic Korean Drama not to be missed!

10/10 An epic Korean Drama not to be missed!
This is an epic drama loosely based on the history of Korea from the perspectives of different but engaging characters.
It is set in the time where Joseon (Korea) is fought over between different countries with America and Japan. The main character is played by Byung-Hun Lee, who is a phenomenal Korean actor and opposite of his role is Tae-ri Kim who is a newer actress. Byung-Hun Lee has many years of experience and is a well known Korean actor and he has appeared in numerous American films such as G.l. Joe and R.E.D. Both the actors bring fierce intensity to their roles with their well acted scenes and show such emotion through their lines, looks and even their stares. The supporting cast is also superb as they tell their own stories in this conflicted time. All in all the drama has great production value and truly keeps you mesmerized through it's weekly episodes. If you are a fan of Korean dramas or even if you aren't familiar with them, then this is a great series that you can watch.

10/10 This is an amazing show that it's not being mentioned enough
When I first saw the trailers for this show my reaction was, oh no, another story about the struggles of poverty and war, and while there's a lot to that is told in a very interesting way where you can see the details of Korean lower class and it's interaction with the Japanese middle class.
I love reading subtitles to have the experience of the original actor/voice/culture so much is lost in dubbed scenes, and in this show they make sure you can understand when someone is speaking Japanese or Korean and why the miscommunication happens on normal circumstances.
The show subtitles Japanese in blue and Korean in yellow so it makes an unique experience, besides the dialogues and acting are very good.
This show explains to us (mainly westerners) the conflicts and collaborations between the Koreans and Japanese told from the Korean side and how they suffered the Japanese oppression but also how they thrived despite it, lovely show, can't wait for the second season.

9/10 An epic Korean saga that avoids the K-drama pitfalls...
Pachinko avoids the cliches of the K-drama, instead settles for an European soap drama style with plenty of depth, chronicling the plight of a Korean family under the Japanese occupation and juxtaposing that with life in 1989, all in brilliant cinematic storytelling.
This series does not shy away from the effects of Japan's forced occupation on Korea. It plays out with an emotional impact from the viewpoint of Sunja's life via the unique structure in blending timelines. From Sunja's youth under Japan's stranglehold to that of her grandson in 1989. It depicts the various stages of Japan's influences on Sunja's family life, from war torn times to the might of the financial impact that Japan displayed during the 80's.
It is an engrossing drama that reveals the horrors of life under a brutal occupation, and the long term effects it has on generational lives. All through the eyes of a strong protagonist, Sunja, played brilliantly by the various actors.

10/10 Definitely one of the BEST Dramas
This is definitely one of the best dramas I've seen in a while, and I think it might just be my favorite yet, and believe me l have seen a lot of TV Series.. The acting is absolutely phenomenal and I love everything about this drama! The concept and plot is original and unique, and the actors have great chemistry. With each episode you keep getting pulled in by the story to the point you cannot wait for the next episode to come out. It holds a perfect blend of humor, action, suspense/mystery, drama, and love!! I never write reviews but I'm just so in love with this one that I want it to get the full recognition it deserves.
For any of you considering it, I truly and highly recommend this drama!

10/10 Outstanding performance! Refreshing Story!

Outstanding performances from the entire cast, especially the male lead, Tor. Spare Me Your Mercy tackles the sensitive and thought-provoking topic of euthanasia, presenting both sides of the argument-those who support it and those who oppose.
As a BL series, it's truly a rare gem and one of the best BLs l've ever watched. The kissing scenes are passionate and intense, adding to the emotional depth of the characters.
The series, though only 8 episodes, felt too short. I truly wish it were longer. Please support it on iQlYl. A true masterpiece. Hope that the production team will consider a special episode for this amazing series.

10/10 Pond's flawless performance as Day

Pond's portrayal of Day in Leap Day is nothing short of extraordinary. His performance is deeply emotional, layered, and incredibly genuine. One of Pond's greatest strengths as an actor is his ability to express a wide range of emotions without saying a single word. Through just a look, a pause, or a subtle shift in his expression, he conveys the inner world of his character with remarkable depth and clarity.
His face is undeniably charismatic; not just in terms of appearance, but in the way it holds and expresses emotion.
Every scene he appears in feels alive because of the raw intensity he brings. The pain, the love, the confusion, the sadness, the happiness, the longing; it's all there, written on his face like poetry.
Pond doesn't simply act; he becomes Day. He brings such honesty and depth to the role that it's impossible not to connect with his character. His presence elevates every moment, and his performance plays a major role in making Leap Day such a captivating and emotionally charged series.
Pond truly deserves the highest recognition and rewards for his flawless and powerful acting.

I really loved their chemistry. Every episode hooked me to find or puzzled every scenes that I have watched. If you consistently watch the episode until the end you'll understand the flow of the drama. I hope there's season 2 for it. I want to see more of their chemistry and impressive acting between both actors. They portrayed their character well.
Soobin and Yoonseok did a great job. Thanks for this drama l was able to watch a Korean drama again for the longest time hahaha!
I hope that they will have another project again with any genre because I know that whatever character they can do their job well.

10/10 Best Series by BossNoeul

This is one of the most captivating BL series I've watched so far. The visuals, color grading, CGI, storyline, and especially the performances by Boss and Noeul as P'Cir and N'Phu were outstanding. The series is a complete package, blending action, drama, comedy, and fantasy seamlessly.
Kudos to the entire cast and crew of the TBNW series-every actor played their role perfectly, with no one feeling unnecessary or like a wasted resource. The parallel world element added an exciting twist, and Boss delivered a spectacular performance. Plus, the OSTs (Parallel, Stay) are among the best in the industry for a series. I encourage everyone to give this incredible series a chance with an open mind and without bias. It's definitely a watch worth your time!
P. S: NC is among the best in the industry, and we're talking about BossNoeul here. Their romance and romantic scenes are simply unmatched and untouchable.

10/10 The Taiwanese BL All-Stars Series

As "Kiseki" was written by Pei Yu-Lin, who also wrote the scripts of series like "History2: Crossing the Line", "History
3: Trapped", both "We Best Love" series, and many more, it was clear from the start that this series would be good, and in my opinion it is by far the best Taiwanese BL series of 2023.
Bai Zong Yi (Taro Lin), a 17-year-old student, finds himself drawn into the world of Fan Ze Rui (Hsu Kai), a gangster who is about 5 years older than him. After Ze Rui has been injured, Zong Yi takes care of him and allows him to stay in his flat. Of course the two young men fall in live, but tragedy looms around every corner which makes Zong Yi end up in prison. There's a lot of drama, fighting, betrayal, and of course love, and the story is so exciting that waiting a whole week for the next episode was torture. The series is very well written and directed, and the cast is simply gorgeous.
Like in many series before, I caught a serious "second couple syndrome",
" because Nat Chen as Chen Yi and Louis
Chiang as Ai Di/Eddy are not only extremely handsome, but in contrast to other second couples in BL series, their characters are meticulously drawn and developed.
This series could also be entitled "The Taiwanese BL AII-Stars Series", because many stars of the genre have support or guest roles or cameos, among them Wilson Liu, Wayne Song and Huang Chun Chih (Make Our Days Count), Aaron Lai and Hank Wang (Be Loved In Housae, I Do), and many more.

10/10 Everything was good

10/10 Everything was good
I love this genre, and this series did not disappoint. I have over 300 BL series on my watch list, and to me, this ranks up there with "Not Me". It is like "KinnPorsche" but with a more modest budget, so the only grouse I had was that it wasn't as slick and polished, and the special effects from the gunfight scenes weren't as convincing in the first few episodes (looked like it had to do with post-production editing).
Other than that one minus point above, everything else about the series was rather enjoyable. Having watched Daou and Offroad in another BL ("Century of Love"), I find their chemistry stronger than before and very effortless and natural- in intimate scenes, you don't feel like they are acting the part, but that they're just being themselves).
Their interactions in intimate scenes felt completely unforced and they seemed full of affection for each other. In all their scenes together, there were no awkward pauses-everything flowed smoothly and easily.
Both male leads are convincing in their roles and Offroad's performance, in particular, was nuanced- one could never really tell when his character (Pheem) was lying to Than or telling the truth. He was so poker-faced sometimes that it seemed that Pheem himself couldn't separate his own lies from the truth.
The script itself was pretty tight and the pacing was decent.
The other characters in the series were pretty standard, but fortunately, they were more often 3 dimensional than not.
The ending itself was sweet but I think it might have ended better (and with less cliche) if they had Pheem meet Than at his home rather than at the docks.
Overall a satisfying watch with more pluses than minuses.
The male leads' natural chemistry and effortless interactions made the relationship aspect convincing. I rarely write reviews but I find that Daou-Offroad are often under-rated and under-appreciated by viewers, so wanted to point out that their acting is pretty good and they could
pull off this series rather well.

7/10 Dreamy Premise, Sleepy Execution

CherrieH-4 23 de julho de 2025
The premise is actually pretty fresh for a BL series and definitely has potential... but-keep reading.
I Saw You In My Dream follows Ai, a university student who starts having strange, intimate dreams about his childhood friend and neighbor, Yu. Weird enough, those dreams begin playing out in real life, leaving Ai confused and slowly catching feelings.
Ai He honestly looks tired of Yu's antics-and I don't blame him. Yu's been pranking him since they were kids. With all the dream stuff happening, it makes total sense that Ai's questioning everything.
Yu The older, playful neighbor. He used to have a girlfriend but they broke up. Deep down, he's clearly hurting, but tries to brush it off with his usual playful front.
Now for the overall vibe...
This show is definitely a slow burn-and maybe a bit too slow.
Not much happens for a while aside from Ai constantly dreaming about Yu. The real intimate moments? They don't happen until episode 8. The plot mostly revolves around jealousy and a love triangle, plus Ing bottling up his feelings for Yo. It gets a little repetitive, which makes the story feel stretched and the writing a bit dull.
That said, the kisses and NC scenes were well done, and I appreciated the supportive, open-minded parents-that was a nice touch. The chemistry between the leads and their sweet moments helped keep it going. But honestly, watching it felt like forever because of all the filler scenes. It could've been stronger if they focused more on the important stuff and trimmed the excess.
Great cast, but the execution was just... okay. Like I said, there's potential here, but the repetitive plot kind of drags it down.
Would I recommend it? I won't say "don't watch it." Take a chance on the first few episodes and see how you feel.

10/10 One to watch regardless if you like BL or not

There is only one episode so far, but this series is already a success, not even because of numbers, just because you can see in every scene, every detail, every shot, every sound, every line, there is effort put into it. There were two years of planning on how to make this series perfect, and filming happened on a crazy schedule, long hours and daily, and you can SEE the effort of the actors on delivering the scenes incredibly. The theme score for this is amazing and conveys the vibe of the series, not to mention its sung by Pooh and Pavel, the main actors, themselves. I urge anyone who is NOT into BL or does NOT know Pooh and Pavel's acting: GIVE THIS A TRY. This is unlike any other one. This is horror. This is Crime investigation drama, and this is slow budding romance. Absolute 10/10 score.

7/10 Good and touching

I found out about this show on twitter and I'm so glad I decided to watch it. At first it was just fun and games because Kawi kept trying to "fix" his relationship with Pear but it just never turned out the way he wanted it to. But as the plot progressed, so did the character development and the relationship between the characters. I loved how Kawi's friendship with Pear (and Max) turned out in the end. And I also really liked the tender and vulnerable moments each main character shared with their parents. Honestly I cried at those parts because their parents were so understanding and supportive of them. There was no judgement and the characters were allowed to feel what they were feeling without any guilt. But of course, those were all supporting the main event which was the relationship between Kawi and Pisang.
I freaking love Pisang. He's like the perfect guy and boyfriend and I got kind of annoyed because Kawi was so indecisive and unsure of himself and his feelings for Pisang. It's so easy for me to judge Kawi but how he felt and acted were justified because he had always believed himself to be straight. So the sprinkle of angst was unavoidable but it made them getting together that much sweeter. Kawi's character growth was immense and he's a completely different person at the end compared to the 1st episode which is a good thing. The happy ending was good too.
