10/10 Gripping series - feels real because of Daegu

Highly recommend watching this gripping thriller series. It's exciting from start to finish. South Korea has a real cult problem so they have a good reason to make a drama dealing with cults. With what happened in the Shincheonji Church in Daegu and the spread of Coronavirus this show is eerily relevant and prophetic. What is good about this story is how they get behind the characters of the rescuers so you feel for them. Their attempts are very human and believable and very exciting while remaining plausible. There are some pretty exciting fight scenes along the way too. Sometimes it's frustrating how gullible the people are but cults wouldn't exist without such people. Thank goodness there is a complete enough ending. A couple of small faults. There are quite a few characters and couldn't distinguish some secondary ones for a while Also the religious chants and rants were a little tiresome after a while. Some praise for the cast. After It's Okay to Not Be Okay I tuned in to see the memorable actress Seo Ye Ji in an earlier series. Extremely demanding role for the actress and she does a great job in some dramatic scenes. I can see why she got cast in It's Okay after this. Ok Taec Yeon and Woo Do Hwan are good to as the guys who try to rescue her. Feel for their dilemmas.
The villains are convincing too without overdoing it.

10/10 Exceptional Korean Triller Series

If you enjoy watching psychological triller series, Stranger from Hell is definitely for you. If you don't like this kind of genre, just skip it.
I have read some reviews about Strangers from Hell. Some people mentioned that they don't like the ending. But, for me, the ending is naturally perfect. That's why I give 10/10 rating.
Characters development, script, acting are so good. The settings and atmosphere of the series will give you creepy feeling. One of the best trillers ever!
Its one of the best thriller series of all time. I thought SIGNAL was the best thriller series I ever watched. But this was also awesome. I saw other language thrillers, but they were never this intense. Story, screenplay, acting,.... everything was good. Korean thrillers are best Now a days, movies within 2 hours can't keep us engaging. But not these series. Every episode has intense/engaging scenes

10/10 Beautiful Historic Drama Based on Actual Fact

10/10 Beautiful Historic Drama Based on Actual Fact
I love, love, love this drama. I rate it up there with Goblin and Eternal Love. It is a masterpiece and the cast is one of the best l've seen in a very long time. Everything about it is on point. The two talented leads set the pace and the supporting cast made it all credible. The storyline was accurate, the cinematography great, the writing is to be commended, the direction and production were good too.
It is an emotional story so you may find yourself in tears at some juncture, and laughing at other times. The ending is almost sacred. I found myself crying uncontrollably at the finale. All in all, Red Sleeves is everything you could possibly hope for in a well-written, acted and produced drama. Kudos to all. Please watch this drama. It's really worth it!

10/10 More Than a Thriller - Park Eun Bin Is Unstoppable

HyperKnife completely took me by surprise. I went in not really being a thriller person - I usually avoid anything too intense - but this series had me hooked from the start. And it's all thanks to the incredible performances, especially from Park Eun Bin and Sul Kyung Gu.
Park Eun Bin is absolutely stunning as Dr. Jung Seok - a genius surgeon walking the fragile line between brilliance and instability. Her character is obsessive, volatile, and emotionally chaotic, but somehow she still feels deeply human. It's that emotional complexity that Park Eun Bin captures so effortlessly. She brings such nuance and control to every scene, making even the darkest parts of Jung Seok's journey feel strangely relatable. The balance she strikes between inner madness and outward restraint is just masterful.
And Sul Kyung Gu, as her mentor Choi Deok Hee, is equally compelling. The two of them together - wow. Their mentor-student dynamic is one of the most gripping parts of the series. It's intense, unsettling, layered with unspoken emotion, and at times, even hauntingly tender. It's not often we get to see a relationship like this take center stage, and they absolutely made it unforgettable.
While HyperKnife is labeled a medical thriller, it's so much more than that. It's bold, stylish, emotionally charged - and surprisingly reflective. The cinematography is beautiful, the pacing is sharp, and the soundtrack fits like a glove. It dives deep into power, identity, obsession, and how broken people connect, all without ever feeling overdone.
And yes - I was personally satisfied with the ending. It gave just enough closure while still leaving room for interpretation.
If you're looking for a series that's daring, emotionally rich, and driven by powerhouse performances, this is it.
HyperKnife doesn't just entertain - it stays with you.

10/10 Good adaptation!

10/10 Good adaptation!
With the limits they must work with in China, since this show was based on a BL novel, I say they've done an amazing job!
And to find those two lead actors, Bai Yu and Zhu Yilong, was a stroke of genius. Those two bring so much to this series it's hard to even put into words, because it's everything from; micro acting, to how they use their body language, to how they use their voice, and much much more... it's fantastic! The storyline is simple and good enough, and the only negative is the special effects (but it's understandable with a limited budget). The soundtrack helps set the mood, and the title tracks are amazing! It tickles my funny bone every time I hear Journey in there though, LOL! I highly recommend you give this series a shot, for the sake of the two lead characters and their relationship if nothing else. Enjoy!

10/10 A Must-Watch!

10/10 A Must-Watch!
This is so heart-warming and beautiful. I honestly enjoyed the personality difference in each MC, and how they explored each other in unhurried and caring way.
I think it's such a waste they deleted a lot of scenes; it'd have added a lot of depth to the characters. However, the show as it's been left is still magnificent on its own.
If you're undecided about watching this, please drop whatever you're doing and go watch it. There's flawless acting, evident character development, and an amazing plot.
I admit I didn't enjoy the ending because I know they could have come up with something for the antagonist, but at least they dropped the happy ending version.
I especially enjoyed the slow burn and the twists, and there was relevance in each case they worked which made it easy for me, as a viewer, to piece together.
Finally, I believe that the type of relationship the killer and the healer had is something divine and pure, something that has become rare and almost nonexistent, which is why I was hooked immediately.
This is definitely 10 out of 10.

10/10 Great cinematography, great acting, great production

Word of Honor is a wuxia drama, based on Priest's novel named Tian Ya Ke. It means you will see many martial arts scenes, everything will satisfy you emotionally. I guarantee
The characters Zhou Zishu and Wen Kexing, which are the leading roles, are very skillfully written and acting in the same way. You can see how much the actors attach importance to their roles in their acting. Zhang Zhehan, who portrays a character like Zhou Zishu, who is desperate but has found hope in the last years of his life but has limited time ve Gong Jun, who portrays a character like Wen Kexing, who lived his life in a dark/insane place and still one of his part a little child, both of lead actors... THEY SHOW INCREDIBLE ACTING!! I think the reason i love this drama so much is that every relationship is so deep. Zhou Xu/Wen Kexing, Wen Kexing/Gu Xiang, Zhou Xu/Cheng Ling. All of them is so pure and the acting is so good that it feels as if you are experiencing all those emotions. Not just the lead roles, all the actors/actress are like your best friend.
One of my favorite things about Word of Honor is definitely cinematography. They make you feel like the camera is your eyes. The arrival of daylight, the positioning of the actors, everything is to make you feel as if you are living there, and you feel that too. It will be a festival for your eyes and heart
The production team gave their best to this drama. If you are watching a Chinese drama for the first time, it may be difficult to notice but I, as someone who has been here for 6 years, can see how much effort they have made for this drama. If I'm not mistaken, there are subtitles in 13 languages right now, and they do everything to give viewers comfort.
There is a lot to say but I did my best to make this spoiler free. It will leave a mark in your life, you can be sure of that.

10/10 A Hidden Diamond

10/10 A Hidden Diamond
Once in a while you come across a hidden jewel which outshines everything around. This is one of those gems which is par excellence. A must see, it has twists and turns, plots and sub plots, just when you think you've figured out the plot it goes into a totally unexpected dimension.
Don't understand a word of the language but the subtitles are very well done.
Moreover its got superb acting by all the main characters.
For me it's been the fantasy series of the year so far.

10/10 One of the Best Fantasy series. After long time a historical K drama

10/10 One of the Best Fantasy series. After long time a historical K drama to get me hooked. Its part 1 only and I am expecting more and more from this series.
Oh this series, I am in love with this. After long long time a Kdrama to get me hooked.
The best thing of this show is How interesting the character of Lee Jae - Wook's is. I mean you expect typical historical/ Joeson character but no, he is completely different with great comic timing and seriousness when its needed.
His flirting scenes with Mu Deok is so subtle.
One more thing to add here, apart from the good CGI and different story, is that unlike every other historical show there is no rush to make lead couple fall in love immediately.
Its new take on historical show. They hate, they curse, they fight, there are moments between them. I like it.
Last but not the least, the female lead - Jung So Min's character is very strongly built and it is not getting faded in the course of romance. Loving it.
A little spoiler which is not spoiler at all - It is very funny to watch that everytime she wants to help him she puts both of them in danger.

10/10 brilliant show

10/10 brilliant show
10/10. Absolutely loved it.
This show is everything I didn't know I needed-romance, comedy, history, food, and just the right amount of chaos.
Im Yoon-ah is incredible here; she completely lights up the screen as Yeon Ji-yeong. Her character is funny, smart, and so easy to root for. And the chemistry with Lee Chae-min?
Off the charts. Every scene they share feels electric, whether they're bickering, cooking, or slowly letting their guard down.
I also adore how the story is structured around food. Each episode feels like a full-course meal-there's drama, sweetness, spice, and always something that makes you hungry. The supporting cast adds so much flavor too, from the scheming nobles to the people in the palace kitchen.
Sure, it's a little over-the-top sometimes, but that's part of its charm. I came here for a fun drama, and I got way more than that. It made me laugh, it made me swoon, and it honestly left me wanting a second season already.
If you're looking for something unique and heartwarming with a dash of fantasy, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is a must-watch.

9/10 Smiling is good for health

A refreshing plot revolving around a couple of men working for a law firm. They have an exceedingly cute rapport and a sense of 'being in their own world'. I happened to recently learn that they are actually seeing each other. "gong shi ni men".
If you like watching friends-turning-lovers concepts, then please do watch it at convenience. Not too long, not boring in script, not toxic in portraying a relationship, not a stereotype rich falling for poor, not a blood-puking and tear jerking heavy melo-laced drama. The other couple in the drama seem to be utterly under nourished. Even though they might have tried to act to their capability, I could not sync. I love the comedic bit by 'YuZhen-ShiLei' CP. Thanks and kudos to Chen laoshi.

10/10 A Really Interesting Thai Drama

10/10 A Really Interesting Thai Drama
He's Coming To Me is a really interesting Thai show from
GMMTV that turned out to be quite good. The story centers around Thun, played by Pawat Chittsawangdee and Mes, a ghost played by actor Prachaya Ruangroj (Sotus) quest to answer the mystery behind why Mes can't pass on or be reincarnated. Both of the lead actors are quite good and they have an excellent storyline to work with; along with a strong supporting cast of characters who add to the drama and provide comic relief throughout the series. Parts of the show reminded me of the show Dead Like Me; in that a few of the characters are ghosts interacting with one another.
This element is then combined with the quest to solve the big mystery; all the while providing the viewers with a range of unique cultural points that provide interesting insight into Thai culture along the way.
