10/10 Best Wuxia BL of 2025

Kill to Love is shaping up to be a visually stunning, heart-wrenching wuxia BL (boys' love) drama with sweeping palace intrigue and martial arts grounded in emotional resonance and powerful acting.
The love between Duan and Shu is written with devastating tenderness. Every glance, every hesitation, every reunion feels like it's carved out of longing. It's the kind of romance that makes you ache where love and pain live side by side.
The leads deliver performances that carry weight. You don't just watch them, you feel them. Their chemistry is raw and believable, pulling you into every confrontation, every silent yearning. The side characters, too, carry their roles with conviction, elevating the story's tension.
Visually, the drama is stunning. The costumes are lush, detailed, and perfectly tailored to the characters, making each scene feel authentic and immersive. Every robe, every hairpiece, every sword detail helps bring the world to life.
The script is tightly written, with no wasted moments across its 12 episodes. The pacing is deliberate, slow enough to let emotions breathe, but sharp enough to keep the tension alive. It balances action, politics, and romance with elegance, always returning to the central love story.
The music is haunting and memorable. Melancholic strings and vocal tracks heighten the sense of yearning and tragedy. The OST doesn't just accompany the scenes it becomes part of the story, echoing long after an episode ends.
Kill to Love is a beautifully heart-wrenching drama, a rare mix of powerful acting, breathtaking costumes, thoughtful writing, and a soundtrack that lingers. It's not just a story you watch; it's one you carry with you.
My Special Thanks To the entire cast, who poured their souls into every performance, and to the directors and production team, who shaped this story with vision and care, thank you for bringing Kill to Love to life. Your dedication gave us a drama that will stay in our hearts long after the final scene.

* 10/10 A Rare, Beautiful Gem - Emotionally Gripping and Brilliantly Told"

This drama left me feeling empty and lonely in the best way possible - the kind of void that only comes after experiencing something truly unforgettable. From the very beginning, I fell deeply in love with the main character. I honestly wished I could carry him with me into real life; that's how profoundly his presence affected me.
The storyline is absolutely brilliant. It's rare to come across a drama where storytelling, acting, and emotional connection all align so powerfully. Often, a series will have one or two of these elements and fall short on the rest. But here, the writing deserves a standing ovation - it's one of the most thoughtfully crafted plots I've seen in a BL miniseries. Whoever wrote this needs recognition.
What makes My Stand-In so special is that it doesn't rely on steamy scenes or superficial romance. It delivers emotional depth and character-driven storytelling. The acting was top-tier, especially from Joe and Ming. Joe made me want to root for him with every fiber of my being, and Ming... wow, you'll hate him so much because he plays his role so convincingly. That's the mark of a strong performance.
Sure, the fight scenes were a little off, but everything else - especially the emotional expressions, the eye contact, the subtle gestures - was on point. The chemistry was palpable.
It's one of those rare shows that might confuse you at the beginning with a vague synopsis, but that's part of its charm. You need to watch it to truly understand the beauty of the story unfolding.
I honestly didn't want it to end. Yes, I got the closure I needed, but I still wish I could keep Joe's character close to me. His aura, his personality, everything about him was just so magnetic.
My Stand-In isn't just another BL drama - it's art. And it's very, very rare.

9/10 Such a Happy and Fun Series: Great Watch

Wandee Goodday is a happy and fun series. I was surprised as to how much I liked and enjoyed this TV show. The fact that they don't take themselves seriously as a show works as a strength for this show, as you can tell that they are just having fun and making a great watch of a tv show. The casting for this show is perfect. Sarin Ronnakiat (Inn Sarin) is just amazing as Dr. Wandee and makes you love his character, he is joyful, thoughtful and a good person. Inn Sarin does justice to the role of Dr. Wandee and even elevates the character if I may say so. Sapol Assawamunkong (Great Sapol) is just so lovable as Yoryak.
He plays his character of a wrestler with charm. He is charming, lovable and also very thoughtful. Both actors, Inn and Great have a wonderful chemistry together in this show.
They are both great actors and I look forward to see their future works. Sattabut Laedeke is great as Plakao, Dr.
Wandee's best friend and is a breadth of fresh air in the series. He shines in his role.
Overall this is such a good, heartwarming watch of a TV show. Such a happy show with it's manageable ups and downs. A very cute and fun series all in all.

9/10 "See Your Love": A Heartfelt Connection Beyond Words

"See Your Love," a Taiwanese romantic drama, brings a fresh perspective to love and communication, delivering a heartfelt and memorable experience. With Raiden Lin as Yang Zi Xiang and Jin Yun as Jiang Shao Peng, the series highlights their undeniable chemistry, tackling themes of love, trauma, and representation with sincerity.
The story follows wealthy heir Yang Zi Xiang, sent to Taiwan on business, and Jiang Shao Peng, a hearing-impaired young man who becomes his caretaker. Their bond, formed despite initial communication barriers, evolves into a tender and emotional love story. Both characters are more than just their archetypes: Shao Peng is resilient and not a helpless stereotype, while Zi Xiang is layered, far from the typical one-dimensional "rich kid."
Jin Yun's portrayal of Shao Peng is exceptional, so convincing that many might assume he is hearing-impaired in real life. Raiden Lin complements him perfectly, and their performances breathe life into their characters' growth and connection. Their journey together, marked by both challenges and triumphs, is heartwarming and moving.
The supporting cast also shines, particularly Lin Chia Yo as Cheng Feng Jie (Jonathan), whose dynamic with Zi Xiang adds levity and charm. His subplot, involving his love interest, Wang Xin Jia, is sweet but underdeveloped due to limited screen time. The secondary couple's potential was evident but felt rushed, leaving viewers wanting more depth.
The series excels in its representation of the disabled community, subtly addressing biases and prejudices in professional and personal spaces. However, the exploration of these issues often feels surface-level, serving more as a backdrop for the romance than a fully fleshed-out narrative thread.
While the leads' chemistry and character development carry the series, the pacing and tone falter at times. The first few episodes lean into goofy comedy, contrasting sharply with the darker, more dramatic moments later. Plot elements like assassins, kidnappings, and unsupportive parents feel gimmicky and sometimes unnecessary. The finale, in particular, is underwhelming, leaving key conflicts unresolved and relying on clichéd resolutions.
Despite these shortcomings, "See Your Love" remains an enjoyable watch. The cinematography's sunny touch and the actors' commitment to learning sign language add authenticity and depth. The intimate moments between the leads feel genuine, avoiding the forced fan service often seen in similar dramas.
If there's one thing I would tweak about See Your Love, it would be giving Shao Peng a chance to showcase his Taekwondo skills in the final episode. It would have been a fantastic way to surprise Jonathan's men and emphasize that Shao Peng is far from an ordinary person with a disability. A quick, action-packed moment could have highlighted his resilience and strength, adding an extra layer to his character and giving the finale a bit more punch-literally! It's a small touch, but one that could have made an already memorable story even more impactful.
The series is a commendable effort, blending lighthearted romance with dark undertones. While it doesn't break new ground plot-wise, its execution, lead performances, and representation make it stand out. For BL and drama enthusiasts, "See Your Love" is a solid, emotional one-time watch, especially for those looking for a story with heart and representation.
Final Thoughts: A touching blend of love, resilience, and representation that shines through its chemistry and performances, despite some narrative hiccups.

A Supernatural Thai BL Masterpiece That Stuns With Heart and Horror

honestly can't remember whether I saw the trailer or pilot first, but I stumbled upon Khemjira while scrolling through iQIYI - and thank heavens I did. The trailer alone was one of the best l've seen in ages, and by the first episode, I knew I was in for something special. It hooked me instantly - beautiful, haunting, and impossible to look away from.
Khemjira (Khemjira Must Survive) is a Thai supernatural romantic Boys' Love drama that dives deep into themes of fate, karma, and love across lifetimes. It follows Khemjira - or "Khem" - a young man cursed by a family tragedy that dooms all male descendants to die before turning 21. To protect him, his mother gives him a feminine name, hoping to trick fate itself. But as his 21st birthday nears, the supernatural world awakens. When Khem begins to see spirits, his friend Jet leads him to Ubon Ratchathani to seek help from Pharan, a powerful shaman - and, as fate would have it, Khem's lover from a past life.
From there unfolds a slow-burn story that blends Thai folklore, reincarnation, and romance with a chilling touch of horror. Directed by Panuwat Inthawat, Kittipat Champa, and Patarapon To-oun, and written by Supachod Kajonsiripong, this Domundi TV production is adapted from Cali's novel Khemjira Must Survive. The show stars Namping Napatsakorn Pingmuang as Khem, Keng Harit Buayoi as Master Pharan, FirstOne Wannakorn Reungrat as Jet, Green Ausadaporn Siriwattanakul as Ramphueng, and Tle Matimun Sreeboonrueang as Chan - an ensemble that truly delivers.
What makes Khemjira a standout isn't just the story - it's how everything comes together. The cinematography is breathtaking, capturing rural Thailand in a way that's both eerie and poetic. Every frame feels intentional - the balance of light and shadow perfectly mirrors the show's tension between love and fear. The score by Jaithep Raroengjai heightens that tension with haunting melodies that cling to you long after the credits roll.
Namping and Keng's chemistry is magnetic - their connection feels lived-in, with just the right mix of tenderness and restraint. Green's portrayal of Ramphueng, meanwhile, adds depth and tragedy to the story; she embodies heartbreak so completely that it's hard not to empathise with her. And let's not forget the supporting cast
- FirstOne and Tle shine with natural warmth and humour that lighten the darker moments.
Domundi, best known for lighter BL fare, truly outdid themselves here. Khemjira is proof that they've grown beyond the usual tropes. The production quality is top-tier - lush visuals, strong direction, and top-notch special effects that rival major Thai horror films. Some episodes run nearly two hours long, but not once does it drag. Each chapter feels purposeful, carefully paced, and emotionally charged.
What sets Khemjira apart is its respect for Thai spirituality and culture. It treats shamanism, rituals, and folklore with authenticity and reverence - never as mere set dressing.
The supernatural horror is gripping, but it's the emotional storytelling and human relationships that truly keep you watching.
If you're looking for jump scares, you'll get them early on.
But if you stay for the story, you'll discover something richer
- a deeply emotional narrative about reincarnation, forgiveness, and the weight of karma. The final episodes may stumble slightly in pacing, but the journey is so beautifully crafted that it hardly matters.
In the end, Khemjira is nothing short of extraordinary - a genre-bending gem that blends horror, mystery, and love into something hauntingly poetic. It's the kind of series that stays with you long after it ends, a rare masterpiece that proves Thai BL can be both soulful and spine-tingling.
Simply put, Khemjira is Domundi's best work yet - a chilling, tender, and visually stunning triumph.

Speechless — One of the Most Powerful Female-Led Thrillers Korea Has Delivered

I wasn’t prepared for how deeply this series would get under my skin. As You Stood By isn’t just a domestic-violence drama or a psychological thriller — it’s a raw, intimate portrait of pain, solidarity, trauma, survival, and the kind of silent courage that reshapes a life.
And that’s exactly why I felt the need to write this review — because this story stays with you long after it ends.

Let’s begin:

🎥 • Visual Language & Direction — Emotion Through Light

The show uses lighting as emotional storytelling, and it’s stunningly effective.
Cold tones reflect isolation, harsh contrasts build tension, and dim interiors reveal what the characters can’t say aloud.
Nothing is flashy — everything is intentional.
The atmosphere surrounds you and refuses to let go.

🎭 • Acting — Two Extraordinary Performances

Jeon So-nee delivers an incredibly controlled but heartbreaking performance. Her silence speaks, her eyes reveal the weight she carries, and every restrained gesture adds layers to her character.
Lee Yoo-mi is equally unforgettable — she portrays trauma with such honesty and vulnerability that it becomes physically painful to watch.
Together, they create one of the most emotionally resonant partnerships I’ve seen in a Korean thriller.

🔥 • Emotional Intensity — Heavy, But Necessary

The series treats abuse with brutal honesty.
There’s no romanticizing, no glamorizing, no exaggeration.
The pain is real, the fear is real, and the emotional consequences are portrayed with rare sensitivity.
It’s difficult to watch — and that’s exactly why it matters.

✍️ • Writing — Silence as a Weapon

The brilliance of the writing lies in what is not said.
Glances, pauses, breaths, trembling hands — the script trusts the audience to read between the lines.
Each episode builds pressure slowly, like a fuse burning toward something inevitable, and the tension is absolute.

🎬 • Cinematic Quality — Controlled and Beautiful

– Precise, steady camerawork
– A consistent emotional color palette
– Subtle but haunting music
– Intimate framing
– Editing that respects the emotional rhythm

The series feels handcrafted — every detail aligned with its central themes.

💛 • Female Solidarity — The Heart of the Story

More than anything, this drama is about two women bound together by shared pain and impossible choices.
Their connection is portrayed with honesty, depth, and quiet strength.
It’s never melodramatic — it’s human.

✨ Final Thoughts

As You Stood By is a haunting, beautifully crafted thriller with emotional depth rarely seen in the genre.
It doesn’t rely on sensationalism to make an impact; it relies on truth.
And that truth stays with you.

This is the kind of series that lingers — in the mind, in the chest, in the quiet moments after the credits roll.
A remarkable, unforgettable work.

❄️ “Love in the Cold — Warmth at 25:00 in Alaska” ❄️

At 25:00, in Alaska (Japan, 2024) is the kind of BL that sneaks up on you — quiet, mature, devastatingly emotional. It’s not about grand gestures, but about two men who carry invisible scars and somehow find warmth in each other amid the cold. 🥺🤍

The chemistry between Takahashi Fumiya and Okura Takato feels real, like watching two lonely souls slowly learning how to breathe again. Every glance, every pause, every line of dialogue has weight. It’s the opposite of flashy — it’s soft, raw, and achingly human. The cinematography is stunning too: snowy streets, dim apartments, and that melancholic light that says “I miss you” without words.

This series isn’t about fantasy or tropes — it’s about connection. It’s about love that doesn’t shout, it lingers. You feel it long after the credits roll.

A love story that whispers instead of screams, but still hits like a blizzard. ❄️💔

10/10 Amazing Start of the Series

I completely fell in love with this series after only two episodes. From the very beginning, it managed to touch something deep inside me in a way that felt emotional, intimate, and incredibly real. The actors are phenomenal, and their chemistry feels so natural that every scene between them becomes impossible to look away from. The cinematography and atmosphere are beautifully crafted, creating the perfect emotional space for their relationship to slowly grow and unfold.

Episode 2 absolutely destroyed me emotionally. I was crying almost the entire time because the pain and love between them felt so genuine. It’s heartbreaking to watch two people who clearly love each other so deeply being forced to endure so many hardships and emotional wounds. This series deserves far more attention and appreciation because it already feels special, emotional, and unforgettable after just two episodes. I honestly cannot wait to see what comes next.

10/10 Painful yet gripping to watch

The first episode felt like a punch to the gut. Left me speechless. Left me gaping.
The protagonist's entire personality is so fleshed out and I've only known him for a single episode.
His hidden anguish, his acidic words when putting everyone down, his forced smile when you can tell he was drowning inside. I've never felt so sympathetic and so repulsed by a person at the same time. His character is painfully relatable, the hang ups of adult life and the bleeding wound of abandoning a dream. The way he's gradually left behind by everyone he knows and yet he still shows up. The ones around him are victims of his cynicism and still no one utters a word, like slowing down so a crippled dog can match your pace.
The actor, Koo-Kyo Hwan was stellar in laying it all for the audience. The plot is griping even though it's not a thriller or a suspence genre.
I hope the storyline will be something to behold with each episode. It's been a long time since a TV series has left me swirling with every emotion.

10/10 Legal drama with perfect mix of supernatural stuff

To begin with, the male lead isn't just any attorney-he's basically a walking, talking legal helpline for the afterlife.
While normal lawyers deal with paperwork, deadlines, and annoying clients, this guy deals with... dead people who pop up like, "Excuse me, I was murdered 10 years ago, can you reopen my case?" And instead of running away like a norma human being, he goes, "Sure, let me grab my coat and dramatic background music."
The concept itself is already wild. Imagine trying to explain this in court: "Your honor, my client is... technically deceased, but emotionally very present."
The judge: confused.
The jury: concerned.
The audience: absolutely loving it.
Each episode feels like a mix of legal drama, horror, and a bit of emotional therapy-for ghosts. These spirits aren't just floating around saying "boo." No, they come with full backstories, unresolved trauma, and enough emotional baggage to fill an entire courtroom. And our phantom lawyer? He listens patiently and solves their cases like a pro.
What makes it even funnier is how casually he handles the supernatural. Ghost appears behind him? He's like, "Give me a minute, I'm taking a sip of coffee."
And then comes the investigation part. Since the victims are literally telling him what happened, you'd think solving cases would be easy. But no-this is a drama. So somehow, even with ghostly eyewitnesses, things get complicated.
There are twists, secrets, dramatic reveals and they all come at regular intervals when you least expect it. I also firmly believe that the male lead very soon see his own deceased father in ghost form and he might reveal the details behind his unfortunate death and request him to take up his case.
In conclusion, Phantom Lawyer feels like the perfect blend of a courtroom drama and a supernatural thriller, seasoned with an extra dose of over-the-top flair-and surprisingly, it all comes together seamlessly. It manages to be eerie, heartfelt, absurd, and irresistibly engaging at the same time.

10/10 The Angel with the Sociopath's Smile: Kim Yoo-jung is Devastating

Is it just me, or is it true that the sweeter and more innocent a face looks, the creepier it gets when its owner flashes that cold, emotionless, sociopathic smile?
That's exactly the case here. Kim Yoo-jung truly has the face of an angel, but inside, she is the terrifying opposite. I am utterly speechless at the level of performance she delivers; her acting in this role is so phenomenal it deserves an Oscar.
As someone who read the original webtoon, 1 am seriously impressed by how faithfully the series creators have followed the plot. And I have to say, the casting is impossible to be accidental-every single actor is perfectly tailor-made for their role.
The chemistry between Baek Ah-jin (Kim Yoo-jung) and Yoon Joon-seo (Kim Young-dae) is impossible to describe.
It's an intense, unspoken thing. Their glances don't just say a thousand words; they drive the plot forward entirely. 1 am once again speechless at how good these actors are and how they communicate with just body language and eye contact.
Their relationship is already loaded with potential drama: ex-step-siblings who share no blood. That's exactly what the series excels at: the palpable tension, the lingering looks, and all the unspoken words that hang heavy in the air.
Not to mention the surroundings-the cinematography and settings are perfect, especially Ah-jin's home, with that church practically next door. It's the perfect symbol for the immense load of sins she carries, like a demon whispering in the ears of the men she effortlessly wraps around her finger.

10/10 the plot and production quality are killing it

It's was so exciting to watch the first ep, and i have to confess nani's acting range really goes beyond. It's so cool and gets you hooked. I've been waiting for thiss, let's goo skynani!!! A bit of pete's situation can already be identified from the first episode, but we stil have a lot to find about niran. The best thing about the series is that while the plot itself is so interesting, what makes it stand out is skynani's chemistry and acting skills. I'm so excited to see the next ep tomorrow. It's so good i can't even wait lololol!!
