I Enjoy This Series

9/10 I enjoy this series
I am not type of watcher who wants all people to be suddenly gays in the BL series. So, this series is my type. It is not too gay. Side characters are not designed to be gays so suddenly. All characters are put where they belong in terms of the story's setting.
The deliverable of the characters, to me, is believable, and fun to watch. Kim Tae Hwan (Ji Wo) and Han Hyun Jun (RoA seem to be enjoying their role and I would like to give them more opportunities by seeing how they will develop their interactions, if any, in season 2.
Ji Wo is definitely behind RoA on understanding his sexuality and feeling. And I feel like, it is a normal experience for a person who does not live in a society where LGBT is broadly accepted. RoA and Ji Wo can be a perfect match to see what is next steps in that type of relationship. And I want to know more about Ji Wo.

10/10 Well Executed Backstory

10/10 Well Executed Backstory
After watching this series and I adore how the backstory was done. From my perspective I could understand every action that Diew took even when it caused
misunderstandings. It is not easy to confide in your partner when in your previous relationship that person did even give you, showing your vulnerability to them the light of day. It's like in one ear out the other. Also, at some points I identified with Diew. Especially the relationship with Diew and his mother. I can completely understand not being able to seek solace from your mother or really any other family member, no matter how much time we spend together or how much energy either party puts in to cultivate the relationship between each other. Both Diew and his Mom had their own struggles and they executed the reconnection very well.
From the Mom and hurt daughter at the hospital, to the conversation between Diew's grandfather and Diew's Mother. The disconnect of Diew and his Mom that began from childhood was finally able to reunite and they could truly understand each other. I really will miss BigPark, hopefully they work together again.

8/10 Swirl of emotions, while detaching oneself from a loved one.

8/10 Swirl of emotions, while detaching oneself from a loved one.
I watched this series with low expectations, I just thought it would be another cliché BL story. It surprisingly turned out to be more than this. Lee-Fong Huang and John Wu deliver an amazing acting, as a couple who discover that in spite of the very deep feelings they have for each other, many other important components are missing from their relationship.
External forces gradually drive them to separation, at first as excuses to overcome, and later as means of realizing the deeper lying problems. What the story is about is their struggle to cope with reality and to patch things up with each other but primarily with themselves. No easy task...
The plot is mesmerizing and most viewers will identify themselves with one of the two guys. Mind though, that at a second glance many questions remain unanswered (whether deliberately or accidentally, I cannot tell). The heroes' actions are not always intuitive (not to say erratic), especially from a western society's point of view. There is also a constant underlying depressive ambience throughout all six episodes, which, although aesthetically superl, becomes tiring. In any case one must bear in mind that this is a different culture with different values and priorities.
Watch it at your own risk, certainly not if you are feeling down. It will give you food for thought, but it will either draw you to a swirl of emotions leaving little place for your mind to work, or you will simply get bored from the onset.

10/10 Heartwarming!

10/10 Heartwarming!
Finally a Korean drama that resolves misunderstandings in a mature manner without the issue being dragged out interminably.
l've been watching k dramas for years now and sometimes find it frustrating how the characters refuse to address serious issues.
There hasn't been a single boring moment in the first 6 episodes and the entire cast is stellar.
Park Boyoung and Park Jinyoung always deliver and Ryu Kyungsoo is really adorable.
The mothers are frustrating but with good reason and are highly relatable.
This drama's store will appeal to young adults struggling in life as well as older people who've survived the struggle.
Can't wait for the next episodes.

10/10 K-drama perfection!!! A legal drama that hits every effing note!

Beyond the Bar is honestly everything I could ask for in a drama. The writing is sharp, the characters feel real and layered, and it balances heart and grit in such a satisfying way. On the surface it is about Hyo-min, a rookie lawyer at Yullim Law Firm. She is confident in her values but awkward in social situations. The deeper story is really about growth, resilience, and how tough it is to hold onto your ideals while facing the messy realities of the legal world.
Hyo-min is instantly relatable. She is strong enough to stand her ground, but vulnerable in ways that make you want to cheer her on from the start. Watching her stumble, learn, and eventually grow into a true lawyer is inspiring. Then there is Seok-hoon, her mentor and partner. He starts off cold and intimidating, but over time you see his depth and warmth. The dynamic between them is incredible. It is not forced romance, but genuine mentorship and partnership that makes every courtroom scene light up.
What makes this show really stand out is the tone. It is not just about legal cases or office politics. It is about integrity, justice, and the sacrifices people make to stay true to themselves. The cinematography is clean and beautiful, the pacing is perfect, and the dialogue feels sharp but still heartfelt. Each episode keeps you hooked, not with gimmicky cliffhangers, but because you actually care about these characters and their journey.
K-dramas are known for weaving humanity into everyday struggles, and Beyond the Bar nails it. It feels like a love letter to the law, to the people who fight for it, and to anyone who has ever felt out of place but kept going anyway.
For me this show is a 10 out of 10. A masterpiece. If you are looking for a legal drama with brains, heart, and soul, this is it.

10/10 Absolutely Beautiful!

10/10 Absolutely Beautiful!
l've seen probably 50 or 60 K-Dramas, and this ranks as second only to Goblin on my list. So many are good, but this is something special. I cried about 30 different times while watching. The emotions are deep and strong and real. I will definitely be watching it more than once. The two leads are beautiful and their relationship fraught with uncertainties. It covers a thousand years and so many good-byes and bittersweet reunions. It transcends death itself. Don't miss this jewel.

10/10 America

I've watched many movies and series, but nothing this exceptional in writing and directing. Whoever picked out this cast did a terrific job. Every actor in this series is exceptional. I do not speak or understand Korean but just reading the translation and the actors emotions proves how good all the actors are. The translation over to English voices doesn't portray the actors emotions appropriately, so I would suggest listening it in Korean and reading the English translations. I only had one Movie in my life that made my eyes water and that was Beaches. Episode 10 did more than that to me. This is a must watch!!! I applaud the Koreans for such a beautiful job they did with the Queen of Tears. They created something a thousand times better than Hollywood has created in a while. Can't wait to watch episodes 11&12. I suggest everyone from America to watch this outstanding creation. From Connecticut Paul!

10/10 Beautiful and awesome drama!

Mind-blowing plot, superb acting, stunning visuals, heart-tugging soundtrack - this drama has it all and more. Lee Min Ho's depiction of a handsome, elegant, benevolent and scientific king is perfect, as is Kim Go Eun as a dedicated, no-nonsense, taekwondo-master detective who decided to be brave because not everyone can be. I love how their relationship and chemistry developed from her initially thinking he was a crazy deluded weirdo to that heart-stopping moment when she found out he was not. The drama gets better the more it is watched. It is filled with delightful nuggets, the humor of which I missed on my first viewing, such as when she told him to "park your horse on the side road to the right" or when she carelessly tossed away his watch after he told her to take good care of it or when she sneakily took his DNA sample while he was explaining the parallel universe theory or when she told him his eyes look like those of a criminal and he stopped his explanation about quantum mechanics to say, "I don't know about other things, but I know my eyes are charming. I was born with deep-set eyes." Ha ha ha, an honest king, too!

10/10 Through the Mirror's Shadow: My Obsession with Mystique in the Mirror

10/10 Through the Mirror's Shadow: My Obsession with Mystique in the Mirror
Okay, I seriously can't stop thinking about this series.
"Mystique in the Mirror" is EVERYTHING - mysterious, emotional, creepy in the best way, and so beautifully written.
Oh my god, how much I love this show! I'd even say I'm in absolute awe. I adore stories like this - the kind that make your brain work nonstop, where you have to think, analyze, connect clues, and still end up with more questions than answers. It's like a massive, impossible puzzle, but it's so addictive that you want to keep putting the pieces together.
This series is never boring. Not for a single second. I'm glued to the screen the whole time, totally absorbed.
Sometimes my brain feels like it's exploding because I have no idea what's happening - but I love that feeling! The mystery, the confusion, the urge to understand - it's all part of the fun.
And the actors? PERFECTION. Every performance feels so real and layered. The BL storyline develops slowly and beautifully - the chemistry between the main leads is insane.
Like, seriously, the tension could set the screen on fire i And the secondary couple? I love them so much - it's so heartwarming to see them back together atter so many years.
l've already watched three episodes, and honestly... I still have no clue what's really going on a Is Alan actually alive,
or is he a ghost? Or maybe he's alive and everyone else is a ghost?? Or could it be that Alan just sees spirits, and Win is one of them? And Dr. Nin- is he truly trying to help Alan, or is he secretly making things worse? And what is up with the new nurse, Pete? Why does he act so strange? And don't even get me started on Dr. Ophat - those haunting, unnervingly intense looks he gives sometimes literally make me shiver. I swear, I have to look away from the screen!
So many questions. So few answers. But that's exactly why I'm obsessed. can't wait for the next episodes to drop, because I need to know what's really happening!
This show has it all - BL, mystery, horror, psychological drama - and it nails every single genre perfectly. I'm completely, utterly in love with "Mystique in the Mirror"
10/10 - A haunting, beautiful masterpiece.

9/10 Action/Fantasy BL Dream.

I didn't know much going into this, but I was not disappointed in the least. The special effects truly were amazing, despite one scene that looked like an old videogame. The plot was unique and I really enjoyed how it all played out. In the beginning I didn't expect that much from the fantasy bit, all I knew was that their past lives would draw them together in the present- as the series progressed I got more and more interested in it, especially when I saw the Naga for the first time in episode 2. I gasped many times as the fantasy aspect kept growing.
Other than the amazing plot, I also could fall in love with the characters. The beginning was hot guys doing specialized training and arguing (good enough for me), then we get more into Tharn and Phaya and it was obvious they had undeniable chemistry that only grew more and more. The story between them was a whole rollercoaster and I enjoyed every second. I never imagined a BL series like this had been made, it stole my heart and I hope more fantasy series continue to be made.

10/10 Love love love love!

Ok! Listen up no more American shows/series/movies/ cinema fazes me anymore. Korean film does it. That sweet spot! This show has it... intense action, great character development, emotions and no romance! I love it! I hope many folks are watching it... I get a lot of entertainment out of every single episode! I hope they make a season two! So far I'm chopping at the bit hoping they will make a season 2.
Sooooooo if you're looking for a good action packed quality series! This is it! Look no further! Love the actors, love the martial arts! It truly is Art! Give show a chance hey fyi it bounces around a bit but it's still worth a watch!
Happy viewing.

10/10 F4 Thailand is the best show I've ever experienced

I'm not exaggerating - this show is such a treasure. If you're familiar with any of the previous versions, you're in for a ride. The creators are clearly inspired by all previous versions, and what they've done is pull out the best symbolism and themes from all of them to make this incredibly well-paced love journey. All of the young actors are fresh but believable, and this is clearly a passion project for everyone involved. I recommend checking out the review show "F4 Obsessed" on YouTube if you want to magnify your experience. There are references in F4 Thailand to King Arthur's Court, mythology like Psyche and Eros, and an overall theme of celestials falling from the sky - stars beings being knocked out of the heavens by a little girl who is just a simple weed. It's absolutely brilliant storytelling and just very well-made. Ignore the haters. There's too much to love in this one, they're simply overwhelmed and confused.
