Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?!: The Movie

6/10 For Adachi and Kurosawa fans only
The movie is a continuation of the relationship between Adachi (the virgin who at 30 discovers he can read minds) and Kurosawa (his work colleague secretly in love with him). The movie reverses things a bit. At the end of the series, Adachi was a virgin no more (this is all handled quite discreetly by the way) and at the beginning of the movie Adachi and Kurosawa haven't yet done "the deed" and so Adachi can still read minds. And so the movie proceeds from that point.
It's all very pleasant but frankly it's a bit boring. Make no mistake, Eiji Akaso and Keita Machada are still good in their roles and if you want to experience the "warm fuzzies" there are plenty of such scenes between the two of them, all presented with a romantic loving glow. But much of the humor from the series is absent and what drama there is still feels low stakes and easily resolved. But I'm sure fans of the series will be happy to see them together again albeit in the context of a rather weak plot.

7/10 Stay Hopeful After The Rain
This Japanese BL series beautifully explores the reunion of two young men in their twenties who were once close friends during high school. As they reconnect years later, long-buried emotions finally come to the surface when one of them bravely confesses feelings he had hidden for years. While the storyline is relatively simple, it carries a strong emotional impact that resonates throughout the series. The direction is thoughtful, the performances feel natural and sincere, and the chemistry between the leads makes every scene engaging. The pacing never drags, keeping the viewer invested from beginning to end. With its heartfelt storytelling, touching moments, and satisfying conclusion, this is a charming and memorable BL drama that deserves a place on every fan’s watch list. Was this review helpful to you?
10/10 Hsiao-chuan Chang Should Be A Star!
10/10 Hsiao-chuan Chang Should Be A Star!In a perfect world actor Hsiao-chuan Chang would be a star.
He is the most subtle and sexiest actor I have seen in decades. His face is a knockout---especially his perfect lips.
But the innocence he brings to his character is heart stopping.
Eternal Summer is a subtle and sexy Taiwanese movie that is beautifully directed and written by Leste Chen. Every scene and camera shot is perfection.
I found myself going back and watching scenes over and over again---especially, of course, the highly erotic love scene between male actors Bryant Chang and Hsiao-chuan Chang.
Gorgeous. Sexy. Subtle. True.
Bravo.

9/10 I'm not Japanese but...
From the start of this movie I was captivated by the gentleness of things I know from my life. The love story is played so very well by very competent actors dealing with a world that may be dangerous or end up being heavan itself.Choppy waters that we all swim in the madness that we live in.
The connection and care and love is very real here, so many parts of this film I have lived myself and I am so grateful for the people who made this story into film.
Not hard to say but as a gay man everywhere in the world I've been...we have the same/similar things about us and this sensitive, strong, human story speaks for many of us, thank you film makers and all who constructed this for its honesty, much respect.

10/10 Difficult to translate
10/10 Difficult to translate////////////////////////////////………………………………………………………………
This movies is seriously difficult to translate. After reading some of the reviews, I can see how the subtitles cannot hurdle past the culture gap. Yes, there're a lot of yelling.
Yes, the screenplay seems messy. But the story is told through the eyes of a young teenager, coming to term with his father's death and is confused by the surrounding mess and emotions. You really have to read between the lines in order to understand how each of the characters is coping with the trauma. I really enjoyed the film despite the yelling.
It's worth the watch.

10/10 Feelgood Romcom
10/10 Feelgood RomcomPersonally I enjoy this show a lot, we're at only two episodes right now but I'm looking forward to each sunday I get to watch it again. Off and Gun as always have the best chemistry and great acting, both fitting the genre and doing something very light after their last project Not Me, which was way darker. I like the comedy aspect, it's silly but not over the top and makes me laugh a lot!
The side actors are also interesting, Neo just being amazing as always and Aungpao does a good job on his first ever series!
The storywriting doesn't seem to deep in the beginning but by my knowledge of the story behind the novel, it will get deeper, more interesting and is supposed to focus on some society issues as well.
I hope everyone will give it a chance, no matter if you're into cooking shows or not. It's serious about the cooking part with workshops for the actors and real chefs being on set, the food shown so far looked really amazing!
This is Off and Gun going back to their roots in Puppy Honey while adding their new build up chemistry over the past years to their fun side. It's not as sad or dramatic as Theory of Love, it's not as serious and dark as Not Me, it stands for itself by being their next project that will prove they're here to keep working together.

10/10 Series Interest
10/10 Series InterestThe Netflix K-drama Teach You a Lesson (adapted from the popular webtoon Get Schooled) is a gripping, high-octane action thriller that has completely captivated audiences. The core appeal of the series lies in its provocative, edge-of-your-seat "power fantasy" premise. It introduces a reality where classroom discipline has totally collapsed due to systemic corruption, hyper-influential parents, and toothless school policies. In response to rampant bullying and extortion, the government sanctions a rogue task force called the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB).
Watching the charismatic field inspector Na Hwa-jin-a ruthless former Special Forces operator played brilliantly by Kim Mu-yeol-step into these broken institutions to bypass red tape and deliver immediate retribution to untouchable delinquents provides an immensely satisfying viewing experience.

9/10 Simple but captivating
9/10 Simple but captivatingThe breakdown of a friendship makes Hayakawa abandon his passion for music and put on a fassade around his closest people. One day when he escapes to the rooftop of his school, he meets Konno. Unlike other people Konno doesn't give Hayakawa the feeling of having to adjust around him. He gets comfortable and closer until he realizes he has fallen in love with him.
Having an avoidant and impulsive personality, Hayakawa never truly confesses his feelings to Konno. And much of the drama's conflict could have been resolved if the characters actually had communicated with each other. But Hayakawa's fear of abandonment would not let him.
The drama fully encapsulates how much of the missed chances in life are a result of self-sabotage and the fear of living your life authentically.

9/10 Impression of Youth 9/10
9/10 Impression of Youth 9/10Impression of Youth is a Taiwanese Boys' Love series that ! personally enjoyed a lot.
What I like most about this series is its charming storytelling. The relationship between the characters develops naturally, growing from simple closeness into deeper feelings for one another. It is portrayed in a sweet and heartwarming way that often made me smile while watching.
The production quality is also impressive. The cinematography is beautiful, with well-composed camera work that gives the series a soft and stylish atmosphere.
Another highlight for me is how the intimate scenes are presented. They feel sensual while still maintaining an artistic touch, with strong use of lighting and color that makes several scenes visually memorable.
Overall, Impression of Youth is an engaging and enjoyable series with romance, charm, and strong chemistry between the leads. If you enjoy warm and relationship-driven stories, I would recommend giving it a try. It is available on iQlYl.

9/10 Something's Not Right... and it's the script.
9/10 Something's Not Right... and it's the script.Listen. I came in with high hopes. The leads? STUNNING.
Visuals?? Off the charts. The potential?? Immaculate. Black cat x golden retriever dynamic?? Inject it directly into my veins. I wanted to love this. I really did.
But sadly... something truly was not right
We had Ba Woo, a precious golden retriever man who was yearning, crying, and projecting emotions like a side character in a Shakespearean tragedy-and Jee Hoon, a man so emotionally repressed he made Mr. Darcy look like a talk show host. The chemistry was there but the storytelling said
"nah."
Instead of giving us a slow-burn romance with healing and mutual understanding, we got a confusing mess of miscommunication, deadpan reactions, and emotional whiplash. Every time a moment built up, the next scene undercut it. It was like watching two gorgeous men circle each other in a fog of unresolved trauma and half-written dialogue.
This show could've been the blueprint for "friends to lovers with longing stares and tearful confessions." Instead, it gave
"Pinterest moodboard with zero substance."
I stayed for the pretty faces. I left with a migraine and a sense of what could've been.

10/10 Wholesome, touching in this daring topic!
The Promise of the Soul - Ep.12 Final REVIEWNow with Episode 12 this very challanging topic was resolved. I know some disliked the premise, but as some who enjoys... how can I say - broad perspectives on life, ! really enjoyed this series a lot.
For all those who followed it to the end and liked it like me, l wonder if you found the ending a Happy one? For I surely did. I was really afraid at Ep. 11, the famous drama apex. ! feared, shall we say morality would hold them back. First, it was well acted, beautiful set in scene and the difficult part of the one MC was well played by the actor. It does have a sad element, and I am usually one to quickly find such... dilemmas bad. But I felt it was finished wholesome and meaningful and I for one shall keep this in fond memory for a long time, as wholesome hope giving story. For in the end, as it was wrapped up, I feel it was a good ending for everyone.
For the courage to seek out different perspectives, without regret I give 10/10
Life is large.

09/10 Adorable secondary couple
09/10 Adorable secondary couple.I only watched it for the secondary couple. The main couple are in a relationship where one partner is domineering and belittling, and the other is constantly self-critical. As for chemistry, I didn't see any. Tang Tu Chih's backstory is tear-jerking, but that's not enough to make up for the toxic little remarks he dares to make. Whereas the secondary couple are in a relationship full of misunderstandings but on the same level, with mutual adoration. Those two are absolutely adorable. Their first time is quite believable in terms of intensity.
As for the main couple's storyline, there's drama piled on top of drama right up until the penultimate episode.
Personally, I can't stand storylines that keep ramping things up right to the end just to create tension.

10/10 Where you get best of everything
I have watched many bl/romance drama till now but I was lucky enough to stumble upon this masterpiece. I don't want to just label this as a bl drama, I would rather go ahead and say it's a romance drama. This is a story of two teenagers and we all must have seen/experienced such a story before but what makes it so exceptional is the acting, direction, cinematography, background scores, characters... I can go on and on!Everything is polished here and sets a standard for entire entertainment industry out there. This is the first drama where I have re-watched episodes multiple times. I HAVE NEVER DONE this before for any drama except for Friends. If I start talking about the chemistry between the leads then I won't be able to finish this review. What I like the best here is the confusion/desire/attraction/love is all so innocent and real that it will make you cry and make you remember when you were 17.
If you are planning to watch this series then please go ahead because if you won't then you have missed watching a masterpiece.
The only best thing that happened in 2020 is "I told sunset about you"
