In the novel he is a cheater, apparently. I didn’t read it but others mentioned it. But a lot of changes were made to the drama to make it better (I think some people in the comments couldn’t even finish the novel because it was kind of boring/not great). For example, ML was an actor in the novel and FL wasn’t as strong of a character (I might be confusing dramas but I think someone mentioned a lot of the novel she was just simping/pining over ML).

FL is not confessing her feelings (yet, lol). This was just a gesture of appreciation to ML for everything he’s done for her, including listing her name on the design project :)

SML is a bad guy clearly (they aren’t even hiding it). Bestie’s husband so far isn’t like in the novel (many things got changed, not just him) so the jury is still out.

I think it got translated in subtitles as “Congratulations, Mr. Yu” (not anything super meaningful).

Someone in the comments mentioned another possible source for translated manhua. And, to be precise, this is adaptation of a novel. The novel set in the same universe as The First Frost and Hidden Love; same author also wrote When I Fly Towards You but that novel/drama are not in the same universe as HL/TFF.

LYX is a very good actress. She was great in Love in the Clouds but if you don’t like fantasy genre, check her out in Love Between Lines — it’s a modern drama that started airing a few days ago (really good so far).

This drama has less episodes and they are shorter (45 minutes with intro + outro).

We are all on FL’s side, of course, but if you think back to her job search, a job as GM’s assistant apparently paid more than an early-career architect. At least one (if not more) people told her about that.

Dad wasn’t okay with her choice to study Architecture and that’s why she hid it from her family (he mentioned it during the argument). I don’t disagree with you on other points there :)

She was supposed to meet his there for the interview and, as part of the mission, steal a pocket watch from him.

He also clearly bought candied hawthorns for her. Our poor FL is often hungry because she constantly forgets to eat.

It was only released a few days ago :) But it’s nice to see the ratings go up.

Nice! It’s one of rare C-dramas where I wish it had more episodes. If it were a U.S. show, they easily could’ve made multiple seasons :)
