When a drama/novel is written by a high quality writer, it’s important to pay attention because there are many nuances or hints thrown around (like there’s already enough info to guess the mystery behind the misunderstanding). But so many dramas are overly long with not much happening, that many people watch them in background and don’t pay a lot of attention.
The key to figure out the year is to check the car windscreen stickers. Then it's easier to follow the timeline.…
I think FL starts work in September because they have a discussion about that with her work roommates — they were a bit jealous she got to start late instead of coming to work immediately.
And totally agree about car registration stickers. I think now they are showing 2013 because registrations will expire in the future :)

Yes, it’d be great to have more of ML in the first four episodes but they were important to establish the backstory and start the plot rolling.
P.S. I’m happy to answer questions but I’m not sure why some people think the accident in Ep. 1 was in pr went day and after that we went back in the past. This is not a very complicated drama to follow — not like, say, Mobius 😬
It’s 6 years. Right now ML is 28 and FL is 22 (as of current episodes).
No, ML was trying to meet her 1 year ago (when his accident occurred) although by now it may be 1.5-2 years ago :) In one of the most recent episodes, FL mentions a party “two years ago” and ML tried to meet her after that.
The way it was done so organically without any necessity for extra drama was peak viewing experience !
The scene was very great :) I honestly think that ML was very glad to be called out on his lies (being an instructor). He’s pretty smart, so if he wanted, overnight he could’ve set up a fake Weibo account for his ski instructor business, etc. But now their parents know the truth and — more or less — consider them a couple 😁
I have reviewed every shown episode and my baseline has been 8.5. I think that I have fairly rated each episode…
Very true. I’m convinced some dramas (like Fated Hearts) have a high MDL rating because of good early reviews before things go south at the end (or in middle as was the case with FH 🥺😳).
I wish the screen time wasted on Zhuang xu would be redirected to Jian Rui. I love his goofy yet mature character…
JerkXu is around to show FL’s maturation process, probably, but I’d also prefer less of him and more of nice characters like FL’s work bestie Yin Jie :)
And, yes, her dynamic with her cousin is so real.
