Cdrama writers know how to write about relationships that take place over a long period of time. They’re okay…
GOOD C-drama writers are skilled enough to write enough material to cover 30+ episodes. But — similar to how 16-20 episode K-dramas drag on too long sometimes — oftentimes writers of C-dramas rely on tired, annoying tropes/cliches to artificially inflate episode count (for example, a breakup in the middle due to some silly reason***). So just like there are great 16-episode K-dramas & not so great ones, there are also some great 30+ episode C-dramas and many average/below average ones.
*** — breakup for a valid/plausible reason is one thing, but so, so many C-/K-dramas have breakups for absolutely illogical reasons or due to some ridiculous events 🙄
y'all would never survive a c-drama that is 36 episodes long with thousands of misunderstanding 😂😂 all I…
I’m really enjoying this drama but, to be fair, many C-dramas should actually be much shorter. Too many of them rely on illogical misunderstandings or other tropes to make the leads suffer solely for the purpose of padding episode count (same with 16+ episode K-dramas). And I’m saying this as a person who likes many long C-dramas :)
We really need a compilation of all the times FL had been clumsy. It’s probably going to be an hour long clip by the end of the series. She’s fallen down, dropped things, stumbled, broken heels, etc.
I hope that the scene where SML and SFL seem to be intimate with each other (and ML catches them), happens after…
Yes, it’d be a logical thing for 2FL to reveal it there. She’d be breaking her promise to 2ML but it’d be justified. Also, logically speaking, 2FL would want ML to pursue FL openly so that ML+FL get together and 2ML would have to be with 2FL.
JH needs to find out the whole truth next episode because this has gone beyond having funny jealousy scenes. This…
Pretty much my feeling. I hope he finds out in Ep. 8. Maybe 2FL will finally reveal it after ML attacks 2ML (presumably for kissing her). That’s what preview of Ep. 8 implies but you can never trust previews in K-dramas.
Episodes 9 & 10 feel like a filler. The should have gotten together during their Onion meetup at the end of 8 / beginning of 9. That would have allowed their relationship to progress and for the conspiracy storyline to develop as well.

P.S. Same goes for Chinese Writers Guild too… unless a drama has 999 as a sponsor (999 is a cold & flu medicine).
