Title The Immortal Ascension Spoiler
i love how it focused more on his cultivation journey, and in the end we didn’t see Qu Hun in the new world..…
As others said, both of them teleported together. Donghua starts at Ep. 64 for this (based on what other commenters said; I will probably watch from beginning).

At the end right before credits rolled it said “end of season one” so I’m crossing fingers that they are…
If they really wanted it, they could keep making live action for the next decade. Based on chapter count, Season 1 covered about 10% of both books 😳

YES! Can't wait to see Mo Caihuan as Wang Ning again (Zi Ling)
Does WN look the same as MCH in donghua? Can they cast the same actress?

Before moving on to another drama, I just want to say something about Yang Yang. I know he’s gotten a lot of…
For what it’s worth, I really enjoyed Fireworks of Ny Heart and specifically Yang Yang and Wang Chu Ran. And, unlike toxic Cnetizens who started a witch-hunt against YY & WCR, the character I disliked was FL’s brother. The perfect FOMH edit would have much fewer scenes with brother and with mother 😁🤣

I have to laugh. I meant the Stargate reference as a joke several episodes back. The writers really need to have…
Writer (singular) since this is based on a novel written by one person. But it’s not exactly like Stargate. He teleported to a far away location in the same world (think — from China to Caribbean).

Have you watched Love Scout? It’s really great K-drama from earlier this year. This one started off well but…
It’s really, really good. First episode (or two) sets everything up but after that the show hits its stride. ML is one of the greenest flags ever. And because it’s 12 episodes, things get resolved quickly without dragging on. There are some funny moments too, for example at some point a very famous song from a very popular 2013 drama gets played 🤣🤣🤣

watch trailer for ep. 13 😉
It’s a short drama (by C-drama standards), so I don’t think they will drag it out :)

The novel Salted Fish is widely considered Fu Hua's best, most viral work. The other one was quite well liked…
Great, added it to my list. Now you are not only an authority on historical dramas, but also an expert on AB dramas ☺️😄

Was Horizon Tower good? Looks pretty interesting.

Got it, thank you! P.S. Angelababy’s Love O2O movie was better than the Love O2O drama (it was fine but got kind of boring in places; and this is coming from a fan of slow-burn dramas).

MDL needs an anti-heart for people with NO list! 😁I don’t have a NO list but if I did, I’d base it on screenwriters. Even very good actors can’t save a poor script full of annoying tropes. Speaking of scripts, how much of the plot/script do Chinese actors know before accepting a job offer? So many dramas go downhill in the middle (boring/draggy/misunderstandings) or have disappointing endings (or, at least, not very well done conclusion). Oftentimes feels like writers for C- and K-dramas try hard early on and then just pick random cliches/tropes out of a hat 😳🥺

I was thinking the same until I saw the Uncle with his 4 wives and remembered this is a historical costume drama…
Those scenes were funny in the drama but, if you think about it, she didn’t even know ML’s position/status. She was not very smart — should’ve made sure he was a good match 😁🤣

Thanks! The drama seemed it’d be kind of serious in previews but for now it seems not super heavy emotionally (relatively speaking).

Got it! I’ve enjoyed TXW in New Life Begins so far (halfway done with that drama) but don’t know her other roles.

Thanks! I don’t know the source novel. Interesting to see so many changes (she had a husband!). For now drama seems on a lighter side.

Oh, wow. Novel is definitely not as light as this drama 😳

Are you watching this one? I will try to watch both; maybe this one will erase my memory of “Eat Run Love” ever happening 😳😁🫣

In the novel, did she really want to take her own life? In the drama it was the bad guys trying to get her to stumble into the water so she would drown. Only ML thought she was trying to drown herself.
