So far it’s been pretty average and nothing to get excited about (8.0 level, I’d say, but personal preferences matter). Maybe it will get better with following episodes, but 7.6-7.8 rating is definitely not a work of a bot farm of antifans/haters.

Bad characters are meant to be bad and for us to dislike them, but that doesn’t mean we can’t respect acting performances. A great example is 2ML in C-drama Flourished Peony (both seasons) who played by Miles Wei who normally plays leads & positive characters. His character is probably one of the worst, most despicable drama characters in recent history, but we have to applaud 👏 his performance. Like, he’s so effective at playing that character, there were zero people who wanted a good ending for him 🤣

A lot of The Immortal Ascencion was shot out in the wild (not in sets / CGI), so that may be as close as we get for now 🤣😁

I really enjoyed the show but not sure there’s a need for season 2. Knowing the creator, he will be like “fooled you! the ending was a dream, everyone is dead, but their souls are reincarnated as insects, so you are going to watch a 50-episode long nature documentary!” 😁🤣

Yes, this is not a slow burn drama by any stretch of imagination. There’s a proposal in the first two episodes and a kiss in by end of six episodes. There have been 16-episode K-dramas that had one kiss at the end of the final episode, lol.
A slow burn drama is more of a C-drama specialty with dramas like “Amongst a Snowstorm of Love” 🥰

When a person writes comments like that, it’s clear they haven’t been paying attention 🙄

There are some conspiracies and some unresolved questions, but generally it’s been mostly romantic comedy with a smaller dose of drama.

Wait a second, are they really making a second season? The story seems self contained and there’s an ending.

Yes, I realize they are in a regular world, but does this necessarily mean they’d lose their powers & their memory automatically when they get to that world (Star Stone kept its powers, aliens hypothetically would keep their powers when they arrive on Earth)… Or is it something along the lines of only their souls arrived to the new world, they got reincarnated eventually (which is why no powers and no memories) and they eventually met by chance because they are fated… 🤔

Do we know why LWY & JL ended up without their powers? Is it something along the lines of them using all of their powers just to get out?

Thank you for a great explanation! It’s kind of difficult to convey/map degrees of politeness between different languages so oftentimes translators (even on Viki) just use names instead of specific words. Similar problems exists with words used for family/relatives. In English everything is “in-laws” but multiple other languages have specific words for specific in-law situations (like wife of a sibling is one word; husband of a sibling is a different word). And then it gets further complicated in languages like Chinese when relatives have further specificity, like different words for grandmother on father’s side and on mother’s side (it gets more complicated, but that’s a basic example I can remember).

She probably “accidentally” turned off the TV right before the ending scene 😁🫣

All the hate is just noise. It was the biggest Disney+ K-drama debut. In Korea Episode 6 got 11.2 nationwide ranking (highest so far) and MBC even re-airing episodes 1-6 ahead of episode 7.
But we can help stop the haters a bit by downvoting clearly troll/hater reviews and upvoting reviews from real people.

They have been enemies since episode 1 (at least, in his mind). Maybe something will change next week if previews are accurate

ML is whipped by his older sisters, whipped by his ex-girlfriend and now is being whipped by his boss/future girlfriend 🤣

In addition to what others said, it’s all about protecting current status — of her son as the king and her as Queen Mother. She knows the prince is super popular and fears that he may decide to take the throne one day, especially since he’s already a regent as acting as a king’s stand-in for many events. And her fears aren’t misplaced because ML told FL that he wants the throne.

Maybe after their third kid is born? What the royal rules? 🤣

She’s thinking correctly — she lost the battle but not the war. So she’s looking for other way to control the prince.
