I know the actor was cleared of charges. But the allegations caused this drama to be shelved and for production to spend extra money on AI face replacement. Obviously, not his fault and many people go through that, but the production was impacted anyway (and this isn’t the only drama either).

It gets much better starting with episode 3. Episodes 1 & 2 were a bit uneven due to editing — they probably cut a good number of scenes with FL’s boyfriend because they wanted to reduce AI face replacement costs (overall episode count went down from 40 to 36).

That guy sucks so it’s a good thing they didn’t waste millions on making him look better 💩😁

Until I read the comments, I didn’t even realize that guy had AI face replacement and I actually know the new actor. That character is scummy and don’t want to look at him anyway 🫣😁

It doesn’t even feel like he’s breaking up because of that rich woman. Seems like their relationship has run its course and he’s not in love with the FL. Either way, not a good man for sure

Very well said. Another thing to remember is that more mature/grown-up dramas often don’t do well on MDL (at least, for C-dramas). Same with dramas starring less popular actors. I’ve watched some really good dramas that weren’t “idol dramas” or didn’t have top-tier stars and had 7.8-7.9 on MDL. Reading comments is usually a better way to decide than using a rating.

Yes, I’ve watched L&P and liked it quite a lot… except for the very, very uncharacteristically dumb reason the ML went to jail. He meticulously planned to end up in jail by severing all ties only for his plan to be punching a person in front of hundreds of witnesses? 🙄 He could’ve rented a white truck, at least! 🤣

Thanks! I really, really hoped that after they did a photoshoot promo and business picked up, that’d allow writers to focus on school matters and for things to become lighter. The writers clearly had a different idea 😳🥺🙄

Seems okay to me

The plot moves along very fast and it’s a nice change of pace compared to many dramas where we see a character staring out of a window for 5 minutes or something like that.

I don’t watch vertical dramas and enjoy long 40+ episode or slow burn dramas, but let’s be honest — a lot of historical dramas internationally make episodes longer with slow gazes, slow pans, etc. No to mention making episode count longer by having dumb tropes all the time. So through 6+ episodes it’s actually been pretty nice to see very little time-wasting.
