i heard they had major rewrites so apparently he’s not a daoist anymore, last I heard he became a demon hunter. So dark outfits are okay. the commoner clothes must be them “blending in” or infiltrating of some sort. but yeah hoping to see more variety as it goes on.

in the novel this is based on, FL is a 4000 y.o. clam demon that became the emperor of the east sea. ML is a Taoist Priest leader of his temple, but is an incarnation of an immortal. But I heard there are major rewrites on the screenplay so last I heard the ML is a demon hunter now. Just waiting for more info as it leaks out
