I thought the lady complained of his skills but in Episode 3, I think he did really well!
I think women should also get lessons - its so unfair that its only the boyfriends responsibility to improve his skills.

tell me you never met queer people in RL without telling me 🤦‍♂️ top/bottom are sexual preferences not…
About the term queer: Most gay men don't identify with the term queer (as its being used as an umbrella term) because they view themselves as male(no confusion about gender identity), and their preference is men.
That is my understanding of why they mainly dont like /identify with the term.
They are not interested in transmen or transwoman
This also seems to be the majority view on reddit - gay subreddits

Though I stopped at episode 8, I am dreading completing the remaining episodes. I am not even one bit excited…
I watched the episodes in about 5 minutes - skipping through most and stopping to watch the supporting couples.

Wow thank you so much for posting this! I knew nothing about the novel, but enjoyed the first episode since it's…
Im glad you are more informed - my intention wasn't to put people off watching the series but to make them aware of the controversy and issues involved. Even just out of interest sake.

The hypocrisy of this particular industry does annoy me more because they are supporting and fighting for certain minority rights (LGBTQ) rights but are perpetuating discrimination against ethnic Thais (who are largely darker toned ). Its like a Jewish person screaming antisemitism but supporting the genocide of Palestinians.

This Thai series has taken something of value to the Thai fans and gone against those principles. But its not just Thai industry - look at Korea and Chinese dramas. Those actors there are more white than the actors in western media.

Don't think I agree with the one before last sentence, because japanese do that as well... "My Beautiful Man"…
True the Japanese do miscommunications exceptionally well - but they do tend to kiss or have nc scenes. ("My Personal Weatherman had kissing, cant remember details of the other one).

I dont expect to see Koreans produce Dangerous Drugs of Sex or the Pornographer . The korean bl dramas are the most conservative.

I strongly suspect that the Koreans use miscommunication and misunderstandings as a major plot device / trope to actually avoid having to let the actors kiss (I mean lips touching).

That is why this one surprised me.

On Sexual Lessons: The Side Story Aug 7, 2025
I rated this a 9.5 because it was so educational. It could have got a higher score but i felt that the lesson plan was incomplete. There is so much more that needs to be covered.

Anyway this has so much more potential to be developed into a whole series - I mean not just about the nc scenes but the story and motivations of the characters. I would watch it even if there were no more nc scenes.

Im tired of fluff - i want to see complicated and toxic characters, good plots, and nc scenes without music in the background. There should be more grown up (not porn)bl genre.

I loved this and as a fangirl I wish there was more stuff like this ie "pure and raw without fluff."
Also this has potential to be expanded into proper series. I can only wish.

Koreans bls have perfected bl series centred around miscommunications - cleared in last few minutes so they can dodge having to kiss.
This is a pleasant surprise

My understanding is that the BL webtoon also deals with some heavy topics that made it popular and are then simply discarded.
Im not sure if Change decided not to tackle the topics out of self preservation or they decided that the topics would not appeal to bl series fans.

Im enjoying the tv series as is, but I dont understand why they buy the rights and then not be faithful to the source. Its a waste. Cant they buy the rights to adapt the story, or simply create a new story.

This is messed up. Not that I don't like Ping, but there are so many brown-skinned Thai kings that need more screentime.
Its kind of ridiculous when you think about it - the Thais are finding markers (skin tones) to discriminate against their ethnicity.

Im surprised there are many who disliked that show. As much as I liked the couple, i could not enjoy that series. Trying to be fair, it may be because its genre was action. I like emotional, toxic, messy, psychological dramas OR dramas if they tell a good story eg My Stand in or have a good script.
I skipped about 30% of JackJoker. It was boring and concept was ridiculous to me. If they focused more on psychological or thriller aspects between characters it would have been good (for me)

its f^ckd up how people dont care about an issue if it doesn't affect them directly.
Bls preach LGBT rights and equality, but practice "skin tone" discrimination. And they perpetuates this type of discrimination.
I think its getting worse in Asian. When I watch older programs, it amazes me how much darker people were only a few years ago.

Oh no! Is this in danger to be cancelled?I don't like politics.
by cancelled they meant (i was repeating what i read) Thai fans not liking it and avoiding it.

I enjoyed it but its frustrating to watch due to the editing. It could have been a cute short film. The golden retriever JiHun was adorable.

Also the Korean bl trope of silly misunderstandings (typically between introvert and extrovert) that gets resolved in the last episode is getting old.

Im sure Koreans have created that trope (and mastered it ) so that they can avoid any kiss scenes in the other episodes.

I think they have done a good job. I don't think a tv series should necessarily stick to the novel.
Even if I read the novel I dont mind surprises and changes in the plot.
But also be straight with fans and tell them its a very different story very loosely based on source material.

What do you mean? I have a lot of expectations.
I expect NN to play a pretty princess in distress and Z to play a cardboard knight in shinning armour with a few tortured facial expressions - but a change the scenery. I also have expectations that the ZN massive fandom will love it. You are right about "good" though.

PS In fairness I have seen Z act in WhyRU and he can act. His performances with NN have disguised that .
