Either way i am indifferent to ZNN relationship but get annoyed when i read posts on reddit and other sites discussing bl couples having relationship and making assumptions based on a few phrases they uttered to perform for fans.
Saying you love your "acting" partner and will be together for ever and care for each other does not mean you are in a romantic relationship ( sexual relationship)

To be fair its also the fault of the thai bl industry that encourages that type of bullshit. I feel cringe when I see bl actors playing romantic relationship in front of fans like performing monkeys.

I agree. Im not a RADA or Guildford graduate but I have been told that a lot boils down to the director. Its not just about the actors skills.

Actually the acting in KinnPorsche or DFF was not that great either and the performances were lacking. But subjective preferences will influence your opinion and mine on what is good acting. Fans of the show will love the acting and will be convinced. That is what counts in the end.

Most Thai bl actors haven't gone to drama school, and instead have graduated with other degrees like engineering, medicine, communications etc - unlike actors from say China or Korea.
Im not saying that all Thai bl actors are bad - some are talented, but in general the acting ability is lower, and I can accept that. I have accepted the goofy productions, the amateur fighting scenes, the ridiculous music with the nc scenes.... It is the nature of the thai film industry.
And to be honest despite all the above, I enjoy a lot of the output and there is some brilliance. But in general, I dont take it seriously and sadly dont expect much.

PS I do agree with your points about having expectations but I dont dare.

To be fair most bl actors aren't chosen for their acting abilities, or because they went to some fancy theatre school - but rather the visuals. So most times the acting is not great and sadly I expect that from Thai bls.

Wasnt aware they were new actors so Im even more impressed with the acting. The performances managed to convince me - well so far.

Truthfully, I dont know that much about her ( loved Hidden Love) and only recently finding out about her issues and about her as a person. But I am now a fan.
And the inability to walk away from a job is crazy. I do believe in contracts but these ones are not fair to the party without power.

She comes across as a generous and kind individual. Im impressed.

It is more visible on IMDB where it has a current rating of 6.5. Most of the ratings there are either a 10 or a 1.

It certainly deserves better. The production, script, acting, special effects are objectively good. And I am saying this as someone not a fan of horror genre. And I am enjoying this so far.

I have just seen that "I'm the Most Beautiful Count" has a rating of 6.3 on IMDB. Same issues there.
Edit: if ratings were fair - then I would expect to see more of a bell curve shape ( normal distribution) - instead of the extreme ratings of 1 and 10. Hopefully more people rate the shows.

Thank you - I had not head of the book (I will address this and read it) as science fiction is one of my favourite genres.

In fiction I want to view, analyse, understand and experience the opposite that I would probably desire in reality.
It surprises me that some people want all toxic behaviours banned in fiction. It would be better if they focused on living a righteous life in reality - rather than demand morality from their fictional characters.

I think they have an issue with their ethics, and are projecting that on to the fictional characters.

A main issue that I had understanding this drama is that the subtitles were terrible, missing or did not make sense. Now that its on Viki this would have been addressed. The script is only as good as the subtitle translation to the foreign viewer. ( There was a lot missing)

Thank you for explanation - I think I missed a lot and probably did not understand or remember that part about the brother. I admit i have a terrible memory. It has been a while since i watched it - will probably rewatch,

I more or less may have guessed the power dynamics and tension between the characters enough to be able to enjoy the story. Phycological dramas, complex character dramas, people playing games dramas, always interest me more. This was not a shallow plot by any means.

But its a Thai production with limited budges so I make expectations or he acting, advertising, plot holes, execution. I only gave it a 7.5 because it had these issues. But one thing is that I found the story engaging and compelling.
I would rather watch this show than something insipid like The Next Prince which was all just show.
