This is what modern Cdramas were like just three years ago and it's why I struggled to watch them. I'm glad they've moved away from filling dramas with endless screentime for irritating supporting characters and workplace subplots. Bad supporting characters can ruin a drama and this one is the ultimate proof of that.

Yeah as a human, he has right to feel resentful. But as someone watching him, I'm just like, Dude you already dated another girl and it's been 10 years. Just move on.
If he hadn't dated anyone, I would've felt so sorry for him that the woman he loved broke him so badly that he was still hurting after 10 years. But the dating subplot changed that for me.

The ML was going to be a simp either way. People didn't blame him for dating another girl, he had every right to move on. What people don't like is how resentful he's acting after dating someone else.

Almost all recent and upcoming cdramas have this same trope

I have a confession to make. When I first started watching Asian dramas, I came across Thai dramas and found them really unappealing because of the forced kisses and even more than that. They looked so uncomfortable
But Cdramas handle it so differently. Even when there’s a forced kiss, it often feels more sensual because of the buildup, the story behind it and how it all leads to that moment, it actually makes sense within the narrative. I don’t even end up blaming the male lead. They look so hot😭
Tbh now Kdrama kisses feel kind of dull in comparison to Cdramas now

Love for You sounds almost the same as this drama. Sure, the inside details are different but if you had to explain both plots in a few lines, they're lowkey identical and the fact that it's coming out just a month later

Kdramas these days give me more sibling energy couples than touchy relationships. This is the only recent one I've watched that actually felt a lil different. You might want to check out short cdramas. Their quality has improved a lot

There was a time when even if a drama wasn’t extraordinary, it was at least decent enough to be a 6 or 7. This one is just flat. From the comedy to the romance, everything falls flat.

It happens a lot. Sometimes actors get praised for one role so much that they start acting the same in every drama after that
