Maybe Chen Duling's acting just isn't my type. This is the fourth drama I've watched of hers and I still feel like she only has a handful of expressions. What's confusing is how loved she is on X. Male actors get torn apart on X for having limited expressions, so I started wondering if I was judging her too harshly. She also makes this awkward expression sometimes and I can't tell if she's trying to portray anger, disgust, shyness, sadness or something else entirely.

Umm...I didn’t say that? They only had about two scenes in the last six episodes. I know quite a lot of people kept watching till the end because they wanted to see how their story would end, since the main couple’s ending was easy to predict. Tbh I barely knew what was going on in the last eight episodes. The goodwill built up by the earlier episodes was keeping me hooked

Qimin and Qianqian only had about 45 minutes of total screentime, the length of one single episode. I wouldn’t call that a lot. Maybe their scenes were impactful enough that people remember them as having much more screentime than they actually did
ZLH was gone (meaning not appearing in scenes) for about 40% of this drama, considering he’s the ML. Was he…
When it was airing, I heard that a lot of ZLH’s scenes were cut. Maybe they had to keep more of the female lead’s scenes because her character was still developing, so they ended up sacrificing some of the male lead’s scenes
The drama focused almost entirely on his profession, with barely any romance. The angsty setup hooked me at first but the leads indecisiveness killed my interest. I doubt all their scenes together would even add up to 8 eps. This drama was a waste of my time. 40 eps of same thing repeating again and again
I don’t usually like soft spoken or shy female leads but for some reason Wang Churan really stands out. Maybe the voice is dubbed but there’s something about her body language that I can’t quite describe, I just really liked the vibe but not the character tho😭 She was very indecisive
I watched quite a few drama teasers today and this was the only one that felt a bit too normal ig. Nothing about the story really stood out or made me want to watch immediately. The synopsis also sounds very political and nothing about it really stands out as interesting
im dropping the rating for this. why on earth are they still dragging it. like the grand prince is weak af here.…
The prince does come across as weak at times, I agree but it doesn’t feel dragged out at all. If anything, this story would’ve benefited from 16 episodes.
I did not enjoy tff. I dropped it.This isn't about exes reuniting.I read the novel and I enjoyed it. This is a…
Thanks, you’re giving me hope. I haven’t liked any character of Linyi yet because he often feels like the kind of male lead who needs princess treatment in his dramas. I hope this one isn’t like that. Zhu Yi’s male leads are usually not written that way
Depends what you like and dislike about TFF. I would say the novel is inbetween hidden love and TFF in terms of…
The part I disliked most about TFF was her ghosting him for the second time. I also didn’t like how the male lead’s love was shown so much while the female lead’s feelings for him were not explored. I love it when the male lead is more in love but here it felt one sided. It seemed like she just accepted his love, since anyone in her situation, being completely alone, might have done the same after everything he did for her.
Scared to see it’s also an ex reunion story. I liked Zhu Yi’s other works a lot where it wasn’t about exes but I still hope this is better than TFF. Lu Yu xiao is already my favorite.
I wouldn’t call it good or bad but this story just left me exhausted. It feels like they dumped all the backstory and explanations into the last 9 episodes. So what was the point of the first 20 episodes?
Everything I watched in the beginning now feels almost like an illusion and useless.
I could say the first 20 episodes were meant for a journey or couple bonding but only Shi Guang and Wu Wan had any real development during the illusion arc. Even then, they felt sidelined as a couple and their storyline was wrapped up quickly.
As for Wu Yi and Ji Ling, I didn’t even notice when Wu Yi started liking him so much. At first, it just seemed like a pretty woman flirting with a naive boy, since he was supposed to be the one for her. This drama did have a story but it makes me wonder why I even watched this
trend on this drama with episodic progression - Good, **ramp walks and C-drama wannabe zone** Good enough, **outspoken,…
I’ve been in both Kdrama and Cdrama fandoms. This kind of ragebaiting usually works more in Cdrama spaces, while in Kdrama fandoms, only certain types of hate comments get targeted. I don’t think you’re going to be one of them.
If I see one more toxic POJ fan complaining about Jelly Lin… istg…
It’s just that now POJ is getting popular beyond just Cdrama fans, so there’ll be a lot more shippers. I really liked POJ but their romantic chemistry was around an 8/10 for me, good, but not strong enough to make me ship them. It’ll get a bit irritating seeing all those shippers in the comment section of his new drama. Same happened with Byeon Woo Seok's new drama. Shippers never leave male lead alone
The keep comparing it to short drama republican dramas. They believe all those dramas are toxic, trashy, and don't…
If they start making Twitter approved stories and characters, everything will end up boring and plain. The story will feel too linear, the same problem Kdramas are facing now. I’m glad Cdramas don’t follow int opinions, even though I’m an international viewer myself lol
