There have been dramas like this. Jerry Yan with Shen Yue in Count Your Lucky Stars. Nobody had a meltdown.
umm I'm guessing It's an old drama before cdrama fandom became big

if the miscommunication trope was what put you off in those dramas then yeah, you'll probably run into similar…
I see. Thanks for replying. I'll give it a try. 😭 I just hope the one who's on the receiving end of all the neglect actually pushes back sometimes instead of being a saint

Mostly because both love stories felt one sided to me. I don’t enjoy dramas where the woman loves more, which is why Lighter & Princess put me off. In The First Frost, it felt like only Sang Yan was in love and he was just too nice, like never even questioned her even after being abandoned two times. I really dislike that imbalance in relationships. So is this drama similar in vibe?

I really wanted to watch it but I saw a post saying it's similar to Lighter & Princess and The First Frost. I didn't like either of those dramas, so I wanted to ask, does it actually have the same vibe?

Thanks for the warning. I apologize for the rambling in advance, but I cannot with romance dramas where the focus…
I couldn't finish Amidst a Snowstorm of Love for the same reason and the same thing happened with Rising with the Wind. The visuals looked so rich, especially considering when it was released but the whole drama ended up revolving around shoes and business. I just watched clips of the leads afterward.

I also agree about The Best Thing. If a drama wants to focus on a profession, it should pick something interesting and weave it into the story, like The Best Thing did, instead of making us sit through someone's mundane workday.

About your last point regarding Road Home, I haven't watched it but I feel the same way about the male lead in this drama.

I don’t know about you, but I found all those events genuinely entertaining. What I loved was that the FL wasn’t…
As I said, I couldn't even make it to their first kiss, so there wasn't really anything I liked. I usually leave a drama unrated if I drop it early, like around 4 eps. But if I've watched more and it still doesn't impress me, then I don't mind giving it a low rating.

I've no complaints about the leads. They're the reason I kept forcing myself to watch. I liked their story and was even following the side plots but then they suddenly introduced so many new characters. I started wondering, do I really need to keep track of this much just to unwind and be entertained after a long day? Ig it's not for me

Twitter would be in full meltdown if an actress in her early 20s had that many kissing scenes with a male actor in his 40s

If the roles were reversed, I wonder how people would react to a love story about a divorced man having a fling with a high school girl he had taken in and helped raise.

The kissing scenes looked hot when I came across them on social media but the actual story gave me the ick. My biggest issue, though, is the pacing. It's painfully slow. This kind of story would work much better as a short drama with tighter pacing and less filler.

This is the kind of story with a lot going on, but I kept wondering if I really needed to know all of it just to be entertained.

I liked both leads and tried to stick around for the visuals or at least until the first kiss but I just couldn't. Dropped. I hope these two work together again, because visually they're a perfect match

The rating was 8.5-8.6 before haters attack
Haters attacked or maybe people didn’t like it that much

First of all, I need to know where this was filmed because it's absolutely gorgeous and aesthetic. I loved the drama and the sexual tension was impeccable😭

Some people dislike the FL and I get that she's unconventional but no one says that the ML isn't the usual type either. That's why I liked them. They felt evenly matched. It wasn't a case of one complex character paired with an idealized fantasy. I think people of the same wavelength belong together and that balance is what made their relationship so compelling. Plus, the short episode count meant no unnecessary dragging.

tbh I dont get why ppl (Reddit especially) hate ZLH's acting cos I think he was pretty good here - he did not…
reddit hates popular actors

Too melancholic and slow for me. Once the gloomy phase starts, you just know it's going to be more sadness and another round of ghosting

As a woman, it's natural to empathize with Yifan but I can't help feeling for Sang Yan too. Still His endless "green flag" behavior and the overall melancholy started to feel almost performative.Like he never even tried to find out why she abandoned him and she stayed connected with her other friends, both male and female but he was always the one she dropped like a hot potato everytime😭

I don't think anyone needs to worry about the ratings. If the drama is genuinely good, no amount of bots or haters can suppress it forever. The ratings will eventually rise

Title Begin Again
The worst breakup reason I've ever seen in a Cdrama! They literally pulled a bunch of nonsense just to drag out more episodes

None of those so-called 'traffic' actors are that good anyway. Most of them have issues with basic acting skills…
I wasn't expecting life changing acting anyway. I watch idol dramas, so I already know that both visuals and acting matter to me. My main issue is that particular expression. I wish I could post a clip of it here because it's hard to explain. She's perfectly fine in most other scenes expect that which makes the character she's playing look fake. Maybe that's why she was perfect in tteotm
