Ig the common pattern is the FL leaving the Ml whenever things get complicated, while ML is always ready to ruin himself for her. But I see that not telling a parent about their child is where you draw the line. I'm actually okay with the hidden child trope but lying about who the father is is what really pisses me off. Unfortunately it looks like that's going to happen too :(

Hey, I saw your profile and noticed you rated TFF very highly. I wanted to ask what you think the difference is between Yifan and Susu. If anything, I'd say Susu has even more baggage.

-Yifan lived with her loving father until high school, then went through a few difficult months with her relatives and the unfortunate SA attempt

-Susu's parents were killed, she was trafficked, groomed from childhood to be sold as prostitute, almost got sold and watched her friend die after a miscarriage caused by rape. She has experienced an incredible amount of trauma.

At least Qingyi shows his frustration sometimes,pointing a gun at her, saying he hates her and eventually choosing his self-respect and leaving. Susu also risked herself for him multiple times and even lost her hearing to save him.

Sangyan kept going back to Yifan even after she dumped him. She stayed in contact with both her male and female friends but ghosted him again after everything he did for her.

So why do people feel Yifan deserves Sangyan but Susu doesn't deserve Qingyi?

Yeah I guess it depends on your perspective but what about Qingyi's personality made you believe he wouldn't have slept with her before?

From my perspective, he kissed her right after she agreed to date him. Then, after seeing her again three years later, he forcibly kissed her. He also said something like You once told me the sound of lovers touching each other is the most beautiful in the world. That made me think they had already slept together.

It wasn't their first time sleeping together, right? They had been living together for those two months.

vertical dramas aren’t as bad as you're making it out to be

Yeah, I heard about the male lead in the novel too. But I'd been hearing for a long time that the drama had changed his character from the novel, yet people were still calling him a red flag.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I find the force kisses in cdrama hot,like there's a backstory and I don’t even blame the male lead for it. If you have watched thai drama's force kisses, you would know what rapey and disgusting means

The funny thing is even before the drama aired, I kept hearing that the male lead was a red flag. But low key, he's the one who got backstabbed and used by her and he can't even be grumpy about it?😭 I don't know why so many recent Cdramas have this tendency to make the male lead completely down bad, with the female lead using or ditching him whenever it's convenient. Like why he needs to prove his love only by getting dumped repeatedly

You know, they didn't have to follow the novel there because he was never portrayed as a playboy in the drama to begin with. That scene was completely unnecessary.

Don't even bother explaining it to that user. She was dead set on calling it disgusting incest from the moment it first aired. I don't even know why she kept watching if she found it that disgusting or if she actually watched it at all to form this opinion.

I've seen her leave the same kind of terrible takes under almost every drama. She's like a bot. Just look at her replies, they read like they're written by a preteen or generated by AI trying to sound savage🤣

Yay this is the first breakup/ghosting trope drama I've actually finished without resorting to skip-watching. That's an achievement in itself

Were modern Cdramas really this different just three years ago? FL comes across as somewhere between naive and outright foolish. ML realized he liked her ages ago but never actually pursued her. After their kiss, when she was confused, he said something like just let it happen. I have more important things to focus on at work lmao😭

It's realistic. But in today's modern Cdramas, no matter the ML's job, loving the FL is practically his full time occupation🥴He'd liked her for so long but there was barely any yearning from his side and he wasn't even sure about marrying her.

I wouldn't want other dramas to copy this dynamic but it was refreshing to watch something different and I'm only talking about the main leads. The supporting characters were absolutely unbearable, they existed for no reason except to waste screentime.
