You don't have to have angst for angst sake. Episode 28 preview seems to ruin all the character development of the two leads, for the sake of separating them again. Why? This late in the season?

It's gonna get worse tho b/c in the preview for episode 28 she imagines him as the Skin Painted Demon and goes back to the sect to accept her punishment. He freaks out about her leaving and threatens to kill the Six Sects if she does. So all the character development out the window and 9 more episodes of what exactly?

There was no "wahtaboulism" in my post. Just stating facts. Also, the ML is a the common romantic trope of the Toxic Male Lead...even in Young Master Mu's case he really isn't that toxic. If you don't like this particular trope you can just not watch those types of dramas. He's neither desperate or clingy. lol. Your misunderstanding of what's happening is the bigger issue.

Girl, you gonna marry a guy you clearly don't love because of a "promise". At some point you got to grow up and stop being so rigid in your thinking.

Um....sometimes ya'll just need to watch a show that better suits your beliefs/needs.

This is a silly take. And clearly misunderstands the show. She clearly likes him. He knows that. But she doesn't want to admit it b/c he's supposed to be the "bad" guy. If she's so righteous and on the "right" side of things why does she like the "bad" guy. Young Man Mu is just more honest about how he feels, a fact he points out to her all the time.

FL is starting to annoy me a bit. And that's not a bad thing, it's written that way b/c there is some deep inner-conflict going on with her. But she's so rigid in her thinking and wants to default to what she's been told her whole life over what she has clearly seen since she's been out in the world.

Yeah that was a good bit of comic relief.
