She would’ve accomplished many things IF they followed the novel but no, they changed everything yet still claim…
I figured they had to change it from the novel b/c ain't no way a rebirth/revenge novel would have the reborn character take so many Ls without any wins.
They really coulda just stripped that aspect of the show out and just made it a straight political intrigue/romance story.
Splendid Match did that. It would have been better. She's accomplished nothing with this second life - folk still dead - she's still running for her life...just useless overall.
well i wouldn't want a mary sue for a protagonist lol the growth is the point
No. No it's not. Not with rebirth dramas. Revenge is the point. The protagonist is supposed to surgically take out her enemies and make them pay. Some obstacles are fine. But they are supposed to win.
Also one more last thing (lol) 70% chance there is an Seo Ri amnesia plot coming.
I might breakdown what I think each remaining episode will look like - but yeah I'd say at some point in episode 13 we're getting an amnesia plot that lasts thru halfway to seventy-five percent of the way into episode 14.
In a standard plot arc the lowest point of the main characters should come around the 75% mark, which then forces…
You're missing my point and you're wrong about what Act 3 is supposed to be.
Act 3s are meant to solve the problem not create new ones. Which is why K-Drama and C-Drama endings often feel rushed. The lowest point should happen at the end of Act 2 - so next weeks episodes should have been this week episode and the start of Act 3 is them dealing with the aftermath and figuring things out.
Yes. The tropes are used lazily. Because they are about to change the whole tone of the show in the last episodes which is common problem with K-Drama and C-Drama rom coms that have to have a villain plot. Instead of pacing it properly we now get it all in the back end. Gone is the reason why we're watching and now it's a thriller or some such. Perfect Crown did the same thing.
I'd bet money we're gonna get an amnesia plot.
They can still surprise me - but there's a lot here that seems right in line with very common K-Drama tropes that I'm over. I called the ending of Perfect Crown in episode 8. lol. That's how obvious some of this stuff is. It's unnecessary and yes lazy.
I feel like that's the vibe kinda?
The opening sequence the place looked beyond abandoned.
But then there are guard watching it - but they didn't seem to be watching anyone but her and her maid.
Hmm....

Maybe she will get it right in the third life.
lol/smh
What are we even doing at that point?????
lol
That's the point.

Think Dynamite Kiss (yeah...I know).
