not really. a sacrifice is a sacrifice. Mo Yi was his man just like Zhao is now his man. He will use him until…
Eh...plenty of them make sense even if I don't like them. And that's my point. This one actually doesn't make sense in the context of the story and what this emperor wants to accomplish.

What I'm saying is the sacrifice makes no sense. The emperor wants to dent the power of the Yus faction. You need allies, men for that. Ling is your secret weapon. The other military officials crew are your public facing allies so to speak. This is one drama where the military and the emperor weren't at odds BUT they still end up on the chopping block anyway. Emperors need allies too. I've watched enough c-dramas to know that. lol
Also to be clear the General Mo storyline doesn't make sense b/c he was originally the emperor's man during his CP days. The reasoning was flimsy at best AND in a world where you're trying to establish your reign and take out your enemies you wouldn't causally make that type of decision about an ally who can act to buffer the other powerful faction.
I'm not really sure what you want out of this drama? But it doesn't seem to be hitting it. It sounds like it's…
Sigh. Why would I be miserable over a drama? lol. Hate watching a thing is sometimes just as fun as watching a thing you enjoy b/c at this point it's fun to watch to see what levels of ridiculousness they are going to reach next.
can you even listen to yourself I don't see how it takes more than one episode and one edict to decide their downfall…
I clearly said a "satisfying Yu downfall." Operative word being "satisfying". 18 episodes of torture and it all being over with an edict in one episode for a few minutes is not "satisfying".
What are you taking about? Did you somehow watch all the episodes already? If so, then maybe you should include…
Why would there be a spoiler tag. You can watch the previews to see what's going on. If you watch ep. 35 preview does it look like the Yus downfall has happened yet? EP. 34 preview Madam Yu talking cold cash shit to the FL - does she look like a woman who is experiencing a downfall? Why do I need to have watched episodes for things I can see with my own eyes.
Why do you keep saying grow vegetables like they were doing that when they were there last. ZL would likely take…
And from a spoiler I saw he doesn't do that. A'Sen guards the border and they literally retire as farmers or something. Could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised.
I REALLY hate the "give up all power and retire to the countryside trope" but the one thing the writers have done is ensure that the leads won't make any other choice.
Like logically (one of the few things that would work logically in this drama) who would stay in the capital and working for the emperor after all this?
And there's still TWO major miserable plot points left. lol
You win writers. Let them take their asses to the countryside (Ganlin) and grow vegetables.
Depends. If you're cool with the leads being absolutely miserable for half the series than okay. And I'm not exaggerating. Some people like that kind of thing. Some don't.
lol/smh
The Writers: Yeah. About that...
lol
lol
I'm cackling ya'll.
DYING laughing.
Whew boy. Express should be fun tomorrow.
