I would’ve honestly considered this series a masterpiece, almost right up there with “My Dearest” if it…
Agreed. 'Cause why. Dear C-Drama writer there doesn't need to be a set Death Count. It's okay if the characters survive at the end. We won't think less of you for it.
I like the FL - she's pretty smartly written. But chick gotta stop doing the stupid thing and then going "Oh, I probably shouldn't have done that." AND she does it again looks like in episode 29/30 preview. Like chick...what are you doing???? You're not dealing with a situation that can be solved in a quick manner.
I know they aren't going to do this BUT it would be fun if the threat of Wan possibly being married off to one of the Princes makes Yan Chi throw his hat in the Crown Prince Hunger Games. lol
The only one that might mean anything is Prince Sui. The other two don't make sense - the second one she looked like that b/c her husband died saving him. The first was just b/c the convo hit too close to home.
Prince Cheng is smart and dumb at the same time. Rightfully recognizes Yan Chi as a threat. Wrongfully thinks trying to discredit Wan is the way to go. Big dummy the play would be to try and marry her...and yes I understand why that move would be difficult...but it is still the right play.
I like how this show keeps showing Wan that "justice" isn't so black and white or easily achievable. The idea that corrupt officials will eventually "get theirs" is wishful thinking and doesn't align with reality. She's still very self-righteous but the show keeps showing her how the world really works.
okay someone explain to me - it's hard to make Wan the second consort b/c she is now a Princess. BUT b/c both girls come from the same clan CP is willing to keep the daughter as Empress and Wan as the secondary consort even though she's a Princess now? But if the daughter doesn''t like it, he'll find her another marriage.
Okay - they clearly are laying the groundwork for the book ending. I'm not saying that's how it's going to end, but they definitely set up for that to be an option. As long as they don't do a retire to the countryside of we're gonna go around solving cases like vagabonds ending I will be cool with whatever they decide.
To me an ideal ending - if not the book ending - is if Chi becomes the Minister of Justice and Wan gets her dad's old job and they purge the country of bad/corrupt prefects/coroners and train and replace with a new set of prefects and coroners bringing justice to the people and country that way.
Your telling me Qin Wan didn’t expose that bitch Yuan Wu to the emperor that she tried to kill her😡😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I mean from her perspective is there any good that comes from doing that? Emperor can't really punish her b/c of the situation. It's like something that has to be handled behind the scenes but not publicly.
