Many people overreact even though the loveline in the drama only takes up the length of one episode (sometimes even less) in the entire season, and there are many dramas where the loveline is actually well-done but still get bashed for ridiculous reasons, like The Glory, The Judge from Hell, etc. It’s honestly hard to understand.

If there’s a loveline, that’s fine too — it even feels soothing because their chemistry is so good. Western TV series also have lovelines regardless of the genre, and they can still be great and well-loved.

This drama was never a BL from the start. Yoon Jae may be a bit clumsy, but he’s straight, so it’s normal for him to feel unfamiliar and a bit awkward when his partner is a guy. Honestly, any straight person would feel the same.
