Not everyone is a ML fangirl. A story has to be filled out with other character or we just get the ML/FL pining after each other for 36 episodes which is boring. It’s up to the writers to make all stories interesting though.

Wow. Talk about a turn to the dark side in the latest episode.

She knew who he was from the beginning. Also, since they are a matrilineal clan, I don’t think the male has to be of great status. Although I think they would prefer it.

Very enjoyable watch. It’s hard to take the legal part of this show seriously but I do like that they bring light to many current issues. I hope we get a S2 and all the cast returns.

Yep. I said it a few episodes ago but ep 23 definitely confirmed that granny is the reason for disharmony between the sisters. It makes me believe that once she is out of the picture, they can begin to bond.

It’s nice to see that her character isn’t just a simple villain. There is a lot more to her character than we first see at the beginning.

Sister#6 didn’t get attention. Only Shan took care of her. Evil granny hid her from the public.

So tired of him. He really took a bad turn from the kid at the beginning of the show.

Yep. Have to give it to the writers on this one. They have actually made me a bit more sympathetic to the sisters. They are terrible but they are victims of that family as well. They are really warped by the environment granny created. It’s no longer simple enough to say this sister is bad and this sister is good. I think there is a bit of graying that’s occurring.

She’s truly an awful person. She’s the poison root of the tree. Now we see why the sisters are the way they are. The best thing Rong Yunxi ever did was keeping her daughter away from grandma and the Rong estate.

Wow, it all hit the fan in ep 19. I’m not going to give spoilers just an observation. Granny is the real problem in the Rong family. The sisters are the way they are because of her machinations. She set up this adversarial environment that causes so many problems between them. Not sure if anyone can be redeemed at this point. The best solution might be for LJL and Shanbao to just leave the Rong family behind and don’t look back.

You’re right in the money. I noticed that as well and thought it was odd. Probably a script error or just editing causing a continuity error.

I blame the parents. All these sisters except for the mentally disabled girl who was being hidden, are lying scheamers. This includes the FL. She just has an overall good heart. They set these girls up to be in conflict with each other. I also wonder if there is inbreeding going on. The whole family seems borderline psychotic. And granny is kinda odd as well.

1. You will get attraction and flirting early. There is no official announcement but technically their first kiss is ep. 17 and they are holding hands, so let’s say there.
2. No breakups. Once they are together, they stay together. Forever.
3. Not really. There is a 2ML who is interested in FL but he doesn’t interfere and bows out gracefully.
4. Very much so. Kinda unbelievable happ ending with sister. But you get the ending you would want for a romance.
5. No it’s not. This is a detective story. There are romantic elements in it. But you don’t get a real kiss until ep 21. It is clear early on that they love each other though.
6. The kisses you get are good. I’d say it’s G rated when it comes to touching.
Like I said, it’s not really a romance but I do like the way they trauma bond. And their fight scene in the ring was unexpected but good.

Finally finished. I did enjoy the cast. The cases did get repetitive. They really could have gone with 18 episodes and tightened the script. Nice to see a before The Double WangXingue. It’s weird that it took this long for this series to be released. For those for a romance you will be disappointed. There is love and the kisses will come and the ending is very happy. But you are really going to wait for it.

I can tell that people who want a romance will not be happy with this one. Kinda giving off The Wanted Detective in that aspect. Definitely watching this only for Wang Xingyue but it’s nice to get a switch up from the usual costume dramas.

I had to look at the episode count again because it did feel like they needed at least two more episodes to wrap everything properly.

Having an amnesia story at the very end is definitely a choice. They ticked off every trope in the book. About the very ending. They said it was a few years later but their kids are at least 8 and 6. That was so cute. But I mention it because of Hayeong’s ending. Are we to believe she still hasn’t moved on after all that time? Her story is so frustrating.
