I don’t think she was miscast. I just didn’t like the childish voiceover they gave her. Don’t know if she did her own voice work or if they got someone else but it would have been better if she sounded older.

Oh I noticed that. I thought it had to be deliberate for the story. Not just getting around some censor. Rey as Print touching Print’s body and vice versa was such heady storytelling. Amazing way to shoot the beginning of a body swap love scene. And even earlier we see Rey looking at her own body differently because she’s not in it. She talked about the mole under eye and now seeing the beauty in it.

I hope they don’t fall back into their competitive ways again. They have been in competition since they were kids. But they do need to get to know each other better. It reminds me of when Rey said to Print, “you bought me the pink roses because YOU like pink roses.” Obviously Print’s heart was in the right place but it shows that they still have a lot to learn about each even though they have known each other since they were kids.

I really love the relationship between Print and Rey. It’s so wholesome. I love their honesty with each other. I hope that before they swap back, Print can help Rey deal with her overbearing mom. I was not expecting them go all the way this episode. But maybe they get interrupted in the next episode. I knew that Mai and Fon would find about them. They are pretty obvious. It’s written on their faces that they adore each other. But Mai is pretty jaded. She basically said they would end when they swap back. What is this moon and star thing? And what will likely make switch back? What else do they need to know about each other?

I think Mai is career/business focused. There are people who value career over relationships. And she probably views Rey’s career in the same light. For now she’s going to put Rey’s career over any potential relationship with Print.

Wish we had four extra episodes

That did throw me a bit. It threw the tone off for me and wasn’t needed. They could have still had an ackward super fan without taking it to such a dark level. This show is at its best when it stays light, cute and funny. Thankfully the end made up for it and brought the tone of the series back.

I noticed on other sites that more people are talking about this show. Nice to see that more people are finding and liking this show.

I would love for them to do a special episode for the fans. I have seen other shows do this. Just to see them all meet again.

Good theory. I was wondering why a man his age would have dementia. Don’t know how common that is for someone in their 50s. If you think about it, Nian has two timelines in her head. She has her previous life with Yixun plus the new one where she grew with new family, I assume adopted family. I would also think that anyone who sent letters remembers the other timeline as well. The security guard, the pregnant woman and Shen Cheng should all remember. Wish I knew for sure.

They never confirmed the dad. Shen is a common name.

It was a body swap story. I guess people got attached to her version of the character before the FL actually took over.

And I so agree with his sentiment about Nian. I want Yixun and Haitang to be happy but you can’t negate the love and care he gave to little Nian. He was her father. The scenes between Zhou Yiran and that little girl broke me. He did such an amazing job there. That shouldn’t be undone. I hate to think Yixun and Haitang didn’t go get that little girl. I hope they at least meet in the future.

I have seen Zheng He Hui Zi in the series In Blossom. A lot of people wanted her as the FL in that series. She’s a good actor. I hope she gets a shot at a FL role one day.

That’s Yu Nian’s biological father who was in prison. In prison he an and Yixun became friends. Before he got sick and died, Yixun made him a promise to check in on his family. Episode 8 picks up the rest from there.

Ep. 11 was the real life ending. If not for the fantasy element of the mailbox that would be the ending of the show. I was actually worried we might get that type of ending for the show. That would have been very sad and unfair to the couple.

Neither really moved on. Yixun basically saved her from a divorce later on. He knew he couldn’t give her his whole heart. Don’t think it’s fair to marry just to get help taking care of little Nian. Haitang’s marriage probably ended in divorce because she was still holding feelings for another man. I wouldn’t be able to handle my wife going to a past love’s grave every year either.

Can’t give enough praise to the two young actors, Zhou Yiran and Wang Yinglu. They are delivering a master class performance. In the scene in which she delivers that line, there is no kiss, no declaration of love or even a hug but the actors are still able to convey the deep love between the characters. He’s being vulnerable and she’s being his support. In their exchange of looks, laughter, crying and dialogue you can see their love, commitment and devotion to one another. I can’t say I have seen a romance done better in a Cdrama.

I would expect Yu Nian to try to find her dad. She remembers so it would make sense.

This is 100% why I feel it’s a bittersweet ending. I’m not greedy but I can’t be totally happy with the way things turned out for everyone.
