Title Twelve Letters Spoiler
hmm , I was just wondering about how would their lives playout afterwards ... Tang would have been accepted in…
This is why I wish we got more episodes. It would have been nice if Haitang and Yixun adopted Yu Nian this time. But with timeline changed, Yixun never got to meet the real father in prison to make oath. So it’s likely that the dad died in prison without anyone going to help granny and young Yu Nian. After granny dies, Nian would have just gone into foster care. Based on the future it looks as all turned out well for her. Not so sure about Shen Cheng.

Really enjoyed ep 5 especially the end. I think next episode we will see the girls reveal their feelings. The issues will really start then because no way Rey’s awful mom will approve.

The cat from the last scene in nian's room was the same cat?? What was that😭
There is one theory that Yu Nian was just dreaming. That explains why she would remember everything. And the same cat being in her room. I don’t think that would be a popular theory though.

Where to watch
You can watch the entire season on the Tencent app with VIP/express. Viki is only up to ep 9 I believe.

I really wished Tan Xin and Cha Dong got their happy ending together
I saw Tan and Cha’s story as the warning for Yixun and Haitang. Don’t become them and miss your opportunity. For the audience you don’t want that to be the endgame for Yixun and Haitang.

I didn’t know what to expect from this. First time watching this type of romance and I really enjoy the slow burn. Not a fan of the will they kiss or not cliffhangers but I do love the sweetness of how they are falling for each other. It’s clear that they have had feelings/attraction to each other since they were kids. But it’s interesting to see how Print (Rey’s body) is falling hard and fast for Rey (Print’s body). Print is ready. Rey is falling but a bit hesitant. Ep. 4 was important for them moving forward. They needed to address issues from the part before any relationship could legitimately start.

I think a reunion in 2026 could have been nice. Yu nian should have had the opportunity to tell them about the…
That’s why I wish we would have gotten four more episodes. I think four more episodes would have allowed us to really punish the father for killing the mom. I also wanted a better resolution to Cha and Tan. Although I believe they were meant to be the warning of what Yixun and Haitang could become if they weren’t careful. I would also have liked to see our superstitious security guard and tough pregnant lady get their reward for getting that message mailed at the last minute. And I think Wu Nian deserves to see her father alive again. She remembers everything and kinda got a sad ending. Yixun became her father at a very young age. And while Yixun and Haitang’s story is central, the story of a father and daughter shouldn’t be forgotten.

People are speculating that it’s Shen Cheng. That works if you don’t think he’s Haitang’s biological son.

When she checked her phone after she woke up - it showed that her dad and Shen Cheng are not exist in her life…
That’s sad. That’s why I say it’s bittersweet. Haitang and Yixun definitely didn’t deserve a sad ending with all they went through. But after watching episode 8 of Yixun and little Yu Nian, it’s not fair that he’s not her father again.

alright everyone we can say this is the best cdrama released 😭😭😭🥲🥲🥲💞💞💞💞
Without a doubt it’s the best Cdrama of the year. The two leads did an amazing acting job. I can’t believe I’ve found a modern Cdrama that I like.

My hope is that Shen was adopted as well. It doesn’t feel fair if he doesn’t exist because of changing the past. But it’s so interesting that Yu Nian remembers the previous past history after she wakes up. How is that possible?

I was expecting a sad ending, but they gave mr a happy ending, a satisfying one. The ending really made my heart…
You should use a spoiler. It’s only happy if you don’t care about the fate of Yu Nian and Shen Cheng. Both clearly loved their parents. And the scenes between young Yu Nian and Tang Yixun had me in tears. That’s a father there. So in one sense I’m happy for Haitang and Yixun but sad for the kids. As a father I can tell you, I wouldn’t change any of the bad in my past if it meant my kids wouldn’t exist or I’d never meet them. I will say, it seems that Yu Nian ended up having a nice life at least as it relates to prosperity. But you can tell she clearly remembers everything. The first thing she types on her phone is dad. So it’s more of a bittersweet ending than happy.

I'm confused by the comments. Is Fl married to another man and has a child? Who is Shen Cheng?
In the future Haitang supposedly got married and had a child, Shen Cheng. But they never say who his father is. We also know they got divorced and Shen Cheng had not seen his mother for two years up to that point.

Review Twelve Letters Spoiler
Great review. Loved this show. I definitely feel like four more episodes would have allowed for a smoother landing to properly tie up all the loose threads. But I need people to talk about the ending and give me their thoughts. Yu Xian clearly remembered everything when she woke up. But we also know things did change. So are we in an alternate reality or changed future. Also in the previous episode we see that Yixun died and met up with young Haitang and walked off into the netherworld together. Did that no longer happen? I definitely was left with questions at the end.

I normally don’t watch modern Cdramas but this is one of the best Cdramas I have watched this year, modern or otherwise. The acting was amazing. And this drama showed a display of what true love is without one kiss, one love making scene or even confession of love. Haitang and Yixun loved each other so deeply that I haven’t seen a Cdrama this year that compares to their romance. It showed sacrifice and true commitment. Such a sweet display of true love. My only complaint is that they needed four more episodes. I think that would have really giving us a chance to explore the ramifications of changing the timeline. Poor Shen Cheng and Yu Nian. Although, Yu seemed to be living a better life than before based off her surroundings. Can anyone explain what happened there? I know they changed the timeline but what was up with the phone?

Same. It was so unbelievable to think he was in his 50s. It was distracting. I just chalked it up to a hard life.

I haven't started it but something doesn't add up. While it was airing, the feeds were full of praises but now…
Fangirls will give it a 10 because of the romance and ML’s abs. Haters will give it a two after watching one episode. Best to watch a few episodes for yourself to see if it clicks.

I've been thinking a bit since finishing this. I wish we had seen more of her rise in the army the first time…
Agreed. Two episodes at the beginning to get more into her family and rise as a general. Didn’t feel anything when her mother died because they failed to establish the connection. I would do another two episodes towards the end that would set up Chu’s fall alot better. So 40 episodes might have been the sweet spot.

Ying Xiang’s death made no sense. We have seen through the entire series that Ying Xiang was a skilled fighter. Are you telling me the only way she could stop Ping Ting was to take a knife in the back. Just silly writing like that was exhausting.
