The lead actor is amazing! Even more so in Rebel princess.

Love Chen Du Ling and she acted to perfection. This drama is a classic example of the soundtrack being better than the actual show.

I think it was on purpose because these are two very accomplished actors. The script is strange to me. She was over acting and he had to under act. It’s messy. The storyline is messy too. I wanted to enjoy more but I didn’t for the most part. A 7.5 at best

I am rewatching this and i remember why it left a bad taste in my mouth. She chose every one, her clan, her ex boyfriend and her family over her husband while claiming to protect him when he provided the protection that she thought she did. That kind of selfishness puts me off especially in 68 episodes.

The childhood past thing is very creepy. I grew up with my cousins and I would never think about marrying them let alone dating. It’s sick.

Definitely one of the best actors in China but in my opinion the best actor in China is Taiwanese actor Qiu Xin Zhi who is also in this and most Chinese period/ costume dramas.
