By episode 4 this drama is as good as it can be, as long as you like the genres. No point to over guess the plotlines, just trust and enjoy what the PD/writer shown us. This is a drama which keep me waiting for next week's episodes.
I hold drama on after episode 1 ... How is it so far? Some people write that female lead could be villain behind…
No. By episode 4 it is very clear the kidnapper is a serial kidnapper after the drama shown the ex detector's wife's case. So far he is targetting at wives (and husbands) so might be he had tragic marriage issue in the past. This drama is mainly about marriage. Just refer to its Korean title.
The fake marriage is the major plotline of this fun show. And it did has typical romcom scenes in first 2 episodes with that. It is anyone's guess how it will go next. Guess it will create lots of funny moments, but not typical of standard romcoms.
It will be a shame if there is no romance..we will see..I’m hoping for romance..
There is no romance genre but it feel like a romcom in the fake marriage part, which has one the the grandest and fun wedding ceremony? And is it a fake kiss in the beginning usually ended up with a real one at the end? But with Ji Sung's recent dramas' record better not to raise hope high.
The Husband and this are totally different genres dramas. The Husband so far is an action packed thriller like a Liam Neeson movie, no comedy at all. It has a kind of romance genre about the breaking up marriage. The Apartment is a comedy (hopefully the fake marriage will provide us more comedy). There is one thing in common though, the 2 dramas have mls aged late 40s, and both fls at early 30s! So depending on your tastes but I am watching both happily.
The Fugitive was awesome. Many people believe it was inspired by the 1950’s case of Dr. Sam Sheppard.Even though…
Great background information. Thanks indeed. Many kdramas do follow older western movies storylines as well as classical novels, at least as inspirations.
Episode 3 is as exciting, action packed possible, pretty much in the Jason Bourne, Liam Neeson's movies area. So far this drama follows the title 'Completion of Marriage' as the underlying storyline. Of course every viewer has his or her's own taste in drama and if the developments of the drama not meeting personal preference there will be disappointment. But criticism without justification made no point.
This reminded me of Harrison Ford's movie Fugitive (for those old enough and know western movies). With the twists and turns in the first 2 episodes, and the marriage of the main leads at their worst possible bottom, but given the Korean tiltle of the drama 'The Completion of Marriage', as well as its romance thriller genres, I am looking forward to a super intensed but exciting journey for the 2 main leads to eventually find their real love. Obviously I am watching this drama from a totally different angle to most of the viewers here.
The name Silent Truth given by Netflix on the drama focussed on the murder mysteries, while the Japanese name of the novel and drama Re-union refers to the re-union of Junichi with his 3 childhood friends, and more so on the complete story on the re-union with his first love.
why are most of the comments negative. i watched the two episodes and loved the drama can't wait for the next…
Agree. Read the concluding part of Dramabeans review on 1st episode. 2 ways to watch a drama, turn a keen eye to be critical and blind eye on details, hints etc planned by director, or vice versa
Up-to-dated with this drama. Even though there are some very sad moments, it is still typical of romcom dramas, and overall up to now, it is sweet, simple, and enjoyable to watch (a mini Hospital Playlist). With a group of friends watching it together we all commented when there is an early kiss between the main leads in a drama, it meant breakup/makeup to follow. And the 'appeared to be' love triangle (one sided as usual), is also part of the romcom genre of any drama to make it more juicy, Korean, Japanese etc. You will have to hate all romcoms if hating the fl, or the ml (sometimes). The matching, more matured main leads, and their better characters in general, are the key attractions for me with this drama.
