Because he was never scared to portray the character. Also most of actors and actresses got famous for their works and acting. So what the looks have to do with acting? You insulted Shin Hakyun so much and stated my experience by yourself so I have the right to say something back. You said ,,U talking as if this ugly fellow is the only ahjussi u have seen’’, actually i’m mostly interested in women in acting industry and men make me feel uncomfortable. I support only a few male artists. Shin Hakyun is one of them and seems to have a very honest performances and his personality never changed beside becoming mature which made me like him even more. But you could never do that. You would only insult people who are not your type instead of giving them a chance because of their high skills. Notice how I defend him WITHOUT forcing you to find him handsome. And even though I prefer women I don’t insult any male artist.

I noticed that when I express my opinion I clearly said ,,I THINK’’. But you replied with insulting him and not even adding anything that could say it’s YOUR opinion. You just bahave like you’re stating a fact while beauty is subjective.

Also, you use slang in a conversation that is far more than casual. You can’t express your opinion kindly and you can’t even communicate well. I don’t know you personally but you seem like one of those toxic people who can’t say anything with intelligence but insulting someone.

And the most importantly, you’re obsessed with faces enough to agree with the comment. Instead of being happy for the actress to come back and wait for her new drama, all you think about is why the male lead desn’t suit your preference. id rather sound dumb but having a point then be toxic and spread my opinion that has no logic to my reply. At least I value art and don’t critize true artists just for their looks. Maybe people pass those exact words because it’s right and some people see your behavior? Notice the MyDramaList actors and actresses and then the people who became legendary and very respected in Korea. Productions started to be casted with face but no skills since kdramas became worldwidely famous. Of course I don’t like the way some directors and producers take advantage of it, but it’s like this in the whole celebrity industry: if the audience like it, they will want to please them. And I think it says all about your obsession about looks. Just say you know nothing about acting and move on. I’m NOT saying you have to find everyone handsome (as I said, im a lesbian and I barely find any man handsome) but they way you express it is the problem. Very immature. It’s not only about Shin Hakyun as you can see.

His personality is not your typical celebrity pretty boy. And that makes him even more handsome. You all care about looks way too much. Actors are not models. Their job is to act well not to look like models. You all always say Koreans are obsessed with looks meanwhile they don’t care about appearance in art. You all do. You can clearly say that by looking at the people who are famous on MyDramaList. You hype only basic celebrities with 7253627 ads instead of artist who can actually act.

I knew that! I knew people shouldn’t judge how poor the female lead is based on her house. The house belongs to her father who financially left her years ago. He got in debt and he didn’t pay for the house and the rent. The house is not hers. She thought her father paid for it at least. People judged how can she be poor if she can pay for this house but now it makes even more sense. She couldn’t have so much money for paying the rent. The parents left her making her work for every sibling.

I have autism too. It’s a spectrum and he clearly seems to be in spectrum. Of course we don’t know that but I’m an autistic woman who was late diagnosed because I also didn’t look autistic. Han Gyurim really impressed me. She lied about getting married out of emotions and i was sure it was going to be a typical plot when she pretends Kim Mujin is her husband and then they fall in love.
