Honestly, I’d be over the moon if we actually got a second season. I’m willing to wait as long as it takes,…
Ok so in ig live, both leads were asked if there going to be second season, both said yes. That's where the talk about season 2 started. There's no official confirmation from makers or company.

I see some people in the comments spreading the "agenda" that the actors have confirmed season 2 is happening.…
Exactly. Nothing is confirmed and I think while the series is successful, it's not successful enough to get a season 2. So I hope people stop saying that season 2 is confirmed until we get official confirmation.

I, on the other hand, still can’t wrap my head around all the 10/10 ratings I see for other BL series that have…
Ok so about me and thee, it feels super cringey if you go in expecting serious Mafia story. I watched the first episode and I was like what's happening in here but later I watched it as a spoof series. Like a parody of all those serious scary rich mafia boss and innocent down to earth boy/girl, I found it very enjoyable.

The series didn't follow the novel. The novel is toxic. From what i hear he isn't his biological brother.
They like each other but the officer kissed inspector hua one night and left. Inspector Hua wanted to talk about it but before they could meet again, the officer was killed. Hua never truly recovered from it as he still keep a pandent of officer's reminder with him all the time.

I think the moment they had an official couple name and colour, they were already on the market 😋(which was…
I totally agree. I guess I went back to my delusional days when I was young and dumb and used to think that my favourite ship is one true ship and the couple is genuinely into each other. Like I knew it's PR but I could pretend that it's real but it becomes hard to pretend when the fan service becomes glaringly obvious. I hope my rambling is getting my point across and I don't sound crazy.
Couple marketing in BL world is a dangerous game to play because it can get messy real quick. I feel it's worse when it comes to China. Both fans and government can be unpredictable. I hope this works out for these actors because they are genuinely good at their work.
I heard that three seasons rumour too and it actually makes sense based on how long the novel is but I'm keeping my expectations low. I feel like viewers who have read the novel are taking the ending of show better than the viewers who haven't read the novel (majority of viewers tbh). Fan service and everything aside, let's hope for a more novel accurate and long season 2.

I'm really bummed that they didn't show Chusan's interaction with goons and how he managed to win them over.
They shot the scene of Chusan convincing goons to stop the bomb's timer. I have seen a couple of cuts on ig. I just don't understand why they didn't include it in the episode as the last episode is only 40 minutes long.

Can somebody spoil it to me who read the book, what will happen with the second couple?
Let's just say they get their happy ending before the main couple does.

I'm just here to change my take on xizhao (actors playing Chusan and Liu Yi) being authentic and not doing fan service. They have officially entered the market and are delivering just like other couples. I know it's not related to the show but I really wanted to share my thoughts.

I know everyone is frustrated because there are so many loose ends and series doesn't have a proper ending. I'm annoyed too because the last episode is a hot mess and especially because they cut Chusan's interaction with those goons. That's the incident where we see how manipulative Chusan can be and the base of his future arc start to set in. I have many complaints too but the weird ending also gives me hope for season 2. Over all 9/10 for me. Maybe I'm being biased because it's after a long time I have gotten emotionally involved with a series and ship (xizhao) but I feel like this show is worth watching.

A bit confusing with the ending. Did Chusan persuade or trick Fei Qi's subordinates to release him?Btw, overall,…
The issue with Chang Xi and Yan Zhao is that their interactions don't look like fan service or done to create hype for series. It looks like how actors of old bl shows used to interact before the genre got popular.

The best thing about the hopeless/unfuckable bottom is how old they are lol

I asked ChatGPT and it said around 70–75% 😅That’s how desperate I am 🤣🤣🤣
You know you're desperate when you ask chatgpt the questions that you know it can't actually answer correctly 😂

You sound like a huge B word regardless of your preference in BL entertainment and no one can argue against it😂

So well said! I'm absolutely loving the slow burn, I loved everything about the show so, so much I went ahead…
Give novel a try. It really has the gritty plot and atmosphere you wanted in drama.

That person gives rating based on how many sex scene a gay series has and thinks that shows that don't have sex scenes are homophobic. There's mo point of arguing with them💀

Isn't showing gay characters jumping straight to bed without deep emotional connection more homophobic? That pushes the stereotype that gay love is more focused on lust than actual feelings like straight love. You have a completely different way of looking at romance genre than I do I guess. There's no point of arguing over it.

I am so tired of reading comments from impatient bl fans saying nothing is happening because they don't kiss or…
I'm one of those people who wanted it to be slower. I wanted Liyu Yi's avoidant personality and trauma and He Chusan's devotion and patience to shine properly. I wanted the complicated crazy characters and intertwined storylines like novel. I feel like nowadays a lot of BLs just sell because of "special" scenes. I'm happy that I finally got a slow burn serious BL even if it's not as much of slow burn or serious as I wanted. They did a good job based on the budget and the market they are working in.

You know meaningful glances and silly flirtations accompanied by sound effects between two men is also gay romance. Not every show has to have naked makeout session to be considered a romance.
