Him pursuing LJ again is not what I have an issue with. My problem is it always feels like BJ has to constantly fight outside forces to woo Jane. We’ve seen it several times over, no need for a redo. So I genuinely don’t want it to be difficult but I’ll be happy to watch it be sincere and honest and tenderBut that’s just preferences and I’ll be seated regardless

I honestly don’t think BJ needs his pursuit of LJ made difficult any longer. I think for me personally it will be very tiring if I have to see BJ pining and yearning and hitting a brick wall. (This will be like the 3rd time they go through BJ trying to win little Jane over).

As for your distress theory, I def see it. Though for me I think it’s more he’s less self-restrained when he’s stressed. LJ feels like someone who overthinks everything to death and is basically his own personal ‘enemy’ and maybe when he’s under duress he’s less prone to self sabotage

why was that so… lacklustre? maybe I need to better manage my expectations. It was 57 minutes and it feels like it could’ve been 25 minutes. What was the point of the ‘break’ if the resolution just needed a piano number? We could’ve done that last week (I’m just frustrated).

That first scene was so hard to watch for me I actually ff parts of it. Not sure why, it was just not great. I mean I get the point of it, and I’m glad Jet is owning up to his shit… maybe execution wasn’t to my liking

honestly those are some of the things that made me suspect AI from the beginning of the show. but the director/co-scriptwriter is currently novelizing the show and in the latest chapter there was a prompt saying ‘Please make the narration longer and elegant, like the way we did in the beginning.’

That sort of solidified my suspicions but I still can’t prove the script itself is AI

AI allegations aside, since I know AI was used to script this show, I just can’t prove it.. so let’s stick to alleged.

The direction does the actors no favors, it makes them all look either constipated or like a high schoool drama class.

I’m watching because I want to finish what I started and I’m super invested in jamefolk.

10% of the cafe scene between ongsa and saeng was gaggy as hell then it dragged on a little too long, got even worse when Nakhin stepped in started preaching about the power of love. Lord save us from this mess.
But overall; zero subtext, 100% exposition dumps.

I know the actor who plays their dad wanted to scream into his pillow each time he got his script and he found he had to repeat the pure omega has to marry Nakhin line for the tenth time.

Lowkey enjoyed Naphit’s little drunken haze after sniffing out Saeng, but that too got to a point. Not sure what’s this obsession with dragging moments on for too long in this show? Maybe it has to do with the prompt to ‘make the narration longer and more elegant’?

Oat is usually a decent actor, basing this on some eps of MS, so I’m not sure why I’m having so much trouble connecting with his character. Boat’s acting, on the other hand, regressed even further. I think it could be the character profile and its lack of complexity that he comes off as a card box?

Can they please also fire the hairstylist? Boats long hair had so much potential? Oml that is a fine man but I swear the styling is his worst nightmare.

WHY DIDN’T THEY ALL GET INTO THE SUV???? And why was the instruction to go to the coffee shop?? Where’s your mafia hideout? Why is Nakhin ok putting ongsa in harms way??

lol the novel had an actual AI prompt that was later deleted. In response to the prompt being called out said ‘hobbist writer’ claimed AI was used for translation purposes when in fact the prompt was request for a creative output. I happen to have a screenshot of both the prompt on ReadAWrite and her convoluted response.

I know the difference between CGI and AI. I am talking about the script/novel, which very much had a prompt left in the text. But go on

watching a show made from ai generated slop and expecting it to be interesting is a choice

LJs inability to let his family take responsibility for their actions and choices will be his undoing. Idk if it’s pride or what, but LJ fundamentally lacks the maturity to understand what a partnership is. I’m not saying let BJ solve all your problems, but when you say you love someone and they love you, you need to learn to accept their help and let them share your burdens. I for one know how much it stings when you try to help someone you love and they just dismiss on some independent BS. He’s not trying to take your agency boy!!

Speaking of Big Jane, I miss when he was unsettling!! Like he can be a doting lover AND be scary AF! Why are they so afraid of writing complex characters? Not every bad guy needs a redemption arc and it’ll actually break my heart if Big Jane gets one. Like let bad guys be bad guys!!
