1st ep was good, started off similarly like the anime before changing near the end. I liked how she plotted to take ml outside in the name of fun nd tried to show him the plights of the people, kept feeding him little infos nd trivias about happenings in the city. She's applying smart tactics to teach an unconventional student. Deng wei character was oddly cute😭 idk how.

Yeaaa🤣 but in the anime she didn't go as wife. She was the only consort who was sent to teach him. The old men were hiring talented people around him to make ml into a proper emperor. Empresses can't do bureaucracy or administrative works as an official due to royal protocols.
Ikr, if they got the copyrights early we wouldn't be in this situation. They tried changing names when new laws appeared but it still didnt help. During the long shelved years most of the casts broke out in popularity. They probably realized what a goldmine missed opportunity they were sitting on and did their best to unshelf it by buying rights, doing negotations, maybe re editing too, idk. I doubt they'd have put in so much effort for a 3 yr old drama otherwise.
