This drama gives off one of those cult-classic vibes. Idk what it is about it, but it feels like the kind of drama you could sit down and rewatch multiple times just because of the way it’s shot and produced. There’s this old-school feeling to it-maybe it’s the songs, the atmosphere, or just the overall aesthetic-but somehow it takes me back to the 90s. And I think that’s exactly why you see such a divide between people who absolutely love it and people who think it’s just average. At the end of the day, it’s less about how objectively good it is and more about what it makes you feel. For some people, it just hits a certain nostalgic, comforting feeling that others simply don’t get.
There's two end credit scenes in the last episode so watch those. Also the mirror scene of Zhang looking at Gao…
I never said its a 'you' problem. Maybe you watched till ep 3 so didn't get it but even some of those who have watched the whole thing didn't understand coz to them its not laid out clearly enough, and that's why I'm referencing. Its not a in your face kinda thing. Ofc watching from yt shorts won't be helpful, especially for this show. The plot starts to reveal itself in bits and pieces starting from ep 1 end credit.
So finally I have read all reviews. The drama stopped airing. I can finally rewatch or watch whatever and wherever…
There's two end credit scenes in the last episode so watch those. Also the mirror scene of Zhang looking at Gao zhun. The other stuff is more scattered so I can't pinpoint particular moments in each episode but they're there. Starting from the senior talking to Zhang about his life before and what he went through and how he says he's fine when its not. This is significant coz in ep 4 he as 'Gao Zhun' breaks down after that whip scene but he's actually not in character at the moment. There are moments in the movie where they're both not in character and you have to clock that. Also the last scene they're shooting. Their lives are pretty similar, even if they haven't been explored enough in the drama, coz Zhang went through something similar like Gao did. And ZX and FC have the same obsession. I can't write everything down here in details, some things you have to infer by yourself and if you're not able to do that even after multiple rewatches then maybe this is just not for you. Its not made in a netflix series style where they say every single thing out loud so that the audience on their phones doomscrolling can still keep up with the plot.
Binged eps 1-6 and hmmm....I am confused on what this storyline really is about in a way lol, expected one thing…
They really really didn't need to do all that. Guess we process our grief in different ways. Anyways this is probably the first time I skipped an NC scene coz of all the crying and sniffling.
Put and little jane are same age so ofcourse put won't call him "p". In the novel put told little jane…
I was of the belief that if P'Jane wanted, he could have easily collected info and proved to L'Jane who it was that caused Put's death. Maybe rub it in his face or smth. There's no need for that huge time skip based on just this reason. Yeah the fact that LJ doesn't trust him and therefore they should break up is valid, but that 'sleeping with him for one last time' thing made me cringe idk why. It felt like they were trying to throw some angst in my face just because, but that only took me out of it lol. I watched ep 7 trailer where it seems BJ is gonna be chasing LJ again and atp I'm just tired of seeing this thing. We saw it already! Maybe 6 times before. In this same show.
agree with you. I expected more fantasy which I got fooled there, and then I expected almost a black flag character…
IKR! I'm glad someone agrees coz I couldn't find a single comment or review talking about this. I expected something more(maybe we'll still get it I hope?) but it doesn't look like its going in that direction. Idk I thought I'd be getting Fan Xiao from To my shore vibes but nope.
P'Jane was such an interesting character, that the way he turned into the same sad misunderstood boi seen in a bunch of similar shows at the end of ep 6 was disappointing. I had to skip those last scenes at the end. I came here for someone who's a RED flag to everyone initially, and him just accepting Little Jane's tantrum was a lost opportunity.
I can cope with not getting a real demon even after being baited with that trailer before, but the disappointments just keep on piling up.
i found myself really enjoying the scenes from the movie, far more than the shallow plot with the actors in "real…
Zhen Xin was always obsessed with Zhang Zhun. Granted that they didn't get that many chances to show that here in the show. Their situations mirror FC and GZ, its hinted at a lot of times in the show, whether in the mirror scene or when Wu, the senior, talks to Zhang. They could've explored more of this dynamic, and their backgrounds, but they decided to develop FC and GZ more in the show, coz those are the 'real' characters. That's what the director decided to go with. Its 50/50 of these two couples in the novel, but this is only adapted from the novel and won't follow its exact order. The reason why the actors decided to get together was definitely coz they cared more about e/o than their gfs, if that wasn't apparent.
Do you know how many people ask their personal questions to AI these days? Pretty sure they went with it coz it's…
China will always use AI, and continue using it. You not supporting this show won't make the country change its ways and the AI go out of business, but will only mean not supporting the actors and director and everyone else involved. They are the ones directly tied to this show. If you really want to make a change or impact there are a million ways to do so instead of wasting time here with something like this.
Not sure why its sus? Ofc your bird-brain won't be able to comprehend that so let me help you. He's insulting two men by bodyshaming and calling them lesbians, and you validating him just proves that you're both two sides of the same coin. Do you get it now? The irony in calling out my lack of flare is hilarious btw. Got a chuckle or two out of me. And yeah I love lemmings, they definitely seem more intelligent than you and your 'friend'.
Happy weekend!
