I don't agree that POJ became successful just because it was on Netflix. Netflix selects dramas that meet its quality standards, so being on Netflix is already an achievement. More importantly, Pursuit of Jade is a genuinely good drama. It has a compelling story, a well-balanced mix of romance and politics, strong performances, and stunning visuals. Those qualities are what made it popular, not Netflix alone.

Zhang Linghe shared that later flashbacks will reveal the deeper story behind the leads' relationship, and both leads hinted that the main plot unfolds in the upcoming episodes. I was honestly surprised to see so many people judging the whole drama just because the intro was made with AI. there are only 5 episodes out so far. Maybe it's just me, but I usually skip intros anyway because I find them boring. I watch a drama for the story, acting, characters, and direction not for a 1–2 minute opening.
also, I've seen people saying the colors are "too bright" for a Republic of China drama. Just because it's set in the 1930s doesn't mean it has to look black and white. 😂 That's a creative choice.It's totally okay if you don't like the AI intro, but I think the drama deserves to be judged for what it actually is, not just its opening.

I get why some people are disappointed with the AI intro in *Overdo*. But honestly, this isn't the first Chinese drama to use AI in its opening. AI is becoming quite common in China.
