Pursuit of Jade became my favorite historical drama because I was emotionally invested in the characters from beginning to end. The chemistry between the leads, the performances, and the emotional moments were the biggest reasons I enjoyed it so much.

I don't agree with people who say the drama became popular only because of Zhang Ling He's visuals. His screen presence certainly attracted many viewers, but visuals alone cannot keep people watching an entire drama. If the story had not been engaging and the chemistry between the leads had not been convincing, it would never have received so much love.

That said, I do think the drama had room for improvement. The war scenes felt underwhelming, and the final arc deserved a much bigger scale. I also wish the drama had shown the events from sixteen years ago in more detail instead of only explaining them through dialogue. Seeing those moments on screen would have made the emotional impact even stronger.

Even with these flaws, the drama never lost its charm for me. The romance, the characters, and the emotional journey stayed with me long after I finished watching. It may not be the greatest historical drama ever made, but it is my personal favorite, and I will gladly rewatch it.
