After watching early spring, i can use that template as what I want from female lead in terms of fashion but more. I’m talking bags and shoes too, as a lover of mingshu baby. Hoping the producers/director delivers. I was thinking something like FL in kdrama my demon but more.
I’m not a fan of watching drama remakes of the novels I have read but this is my first as my two babies are main leads. Fingers crossed it goes well, teasers have been giving especially Shen run’s energy❤️
Ep 6: My problem with our young madam, is my problem with most Royal or noble characters. They want to enjoy wealth without paying the toll(I know it’s harsh but) if their ancestors did the same, would they be born into luxury? Her beef with her husband is understandable since he wants to burn bridges and she has her family/herself to think of but with her family is ridiculous since she needs them especially as she’s at odds with her husband & MIL. Her embezzling is just not that smart, at least put the seal on you as a necklace (in clothes) if you are going to use it as evidence and why would she have such a dense maid as PA. It’s like she wants to be caught.
Ep 6: Sighs. I’m just face palming at Ms Zhao. Why is our FL entangling herself into this situation (the stamping her forearm), the less you know the better.
How is her husband a bad person? Are we watching the same drama?
Umm, what did he think was going to happen when he lured naive jin’er into being his informant and boldly gave her money. I said she’s bad for attempting to beat her maid to death and the horrible loans (the whole family is bad of course), ML is bad for indirectly causing Jin’er situation. They are all quite morally grey.

Remember that his family lack morals as we saw in episode 1 and he also decided to marry into power, now he’s trying to cut off his wife & her family after they are stabilized. Same thing they did to FL.
Poor jin’er, she was just too innocent. Why does Zhao’s lover look like a lady, it was quite confusing. He’s very pretty.
I’m happy Mrs Lin put ML and his schemes down, though his wife is vicious with her loans but we know that’s not why he’s trying to get her. Dude wants to burn the bridge after crossing it.

Ep 2: The Xus are so good. This is my third Tan film and I think she’s perfect for this role, you can see the noble softness even as she’s dressed poorly. The Xus are such good people 😩, scriptwriter please o. They are just too happy I’m scared now.
Episode 1: saw tears reviews. Was already like it won’t be that bad, wrong😭
The emperor is mean, at least reduce them to commoners why reduce them to courtesans. When the suicide scene started, I was like not too teary (my eyes were dry though it was emotional) then granny knelt to prop them up and the tears started by the time FL mom was strangling her I was sobbing then comes in the Xu couple with their dead child, it was a wrap by then. That scene was so well done, shows the work of fate. FL fought death, helping the lead couple and them lodging there at that point and of course their sacrifice and repaying the good done to them. I really give it up to the Shen women, they were strong and I would have done the same than living a life worse than death. Being a woman was extra hard in those times.
Ep 13: The amount of mental abuse our poor flora is being subjected to. See the difference between the conversation with Luke and lumi. Even if she was a subordinate only that wasn’t even right.
My favorite actor is the actress playing Mrs Zuo. She really bomrought the character to life. You could taste the bitterness and madness. Hated the character though.
