also the way they suddenly show a cartoonish picture of the character, that's so out of place and unnecessary

Pu Fang’s (lay doctor) arc was even more rushed in the novel. I honestly thought they’d just leave it out…
I on the other hand think this drama could have had more episodes because everything feels very rushed, if they had more episodes and werent ristricted by the 40 episodes rule, maybe they could have taken their time in telling the story and the arcs would have had more impact on us. I think TTEOTM also suffered from this problem. this 40 ep limit is very ridiculous..

i like this drama but a problem that i have with it is that everything happens so fast that the conclusion to the arcs feel rushed, stories come and go so fast that i dont have time to feel anything about them, like that story about the lady doctor and that taoist guy, i felt nothing, it was so rushed. why did they even include that in the drama? or that scene in ep 27 when YH finds out about nine stars, that happened so suddenly and concluded even faster that i didnt even have time to process what happened. i'm still going to continue to watch but i'm not really emotionally invested in the events. i just go with the flow😅

what i like about this drama is that the story is very solid and there's no plot holes, everything is always explained clearly and i like that a lot
