Underrated. Compared to a lot of BL series that were hyped up, this one deserves more attention. The acting is surprisingly good, the chemistry of the couples are on point, the story is simple and it's the perfect fluff. Glad they decided to release only 6 episodes because more would drag the plot. I recommend this if you want something simple, cute and fluffy. Also, let's not forget the kisses ;)
Episode 6 and they already met in the past. 34 more episodes to go. I guess this is going to be a rough ride and judging by the comments, it will not be worthwhile. I don't like the amnesia tag as well. This is why I try to stay away from MDL after starting a new drama because I know I will most likely get swayed lol
I just want to put Wei Lian in my pocket and protect him lol he's the best character and the second lead syndrome is strong with this one. It's one of those fluffy dramas you forget after a few days you finish watching. Not on top of my list but I don't hate it either.
P.S. There are times when I really wanted to drop it but Darren's smile pulled me through 24 episodes.
Thank you for this insight. I was so grossed out by that part, but you reminded me of the quote at the start of…
You are welcome. For me the second half is just a mirror of the first part of the movie. The beginning shows all that beauty and details and the second part delivered the ugliness and all the details as well. Gross, yes, but very poetic.
How would interpret Shane going into water at the end?
For me it was cleansing. He hugged that discarded body and accepted it. I guess it was also him accepting the loss and "cleaning" himself of that grief. Also, it kind of leads back to the Bai Sri. Remember how his dead lover prefer to let it float in the river rather than just leaving it anywhere to wilt.
Caesar's acting is a revelation here. He aced his role. The chemistry between the main leads is no joke. I especially love the little kisses in between banters. I won't ask for a second season but a modern drama with the same leads would be nice to see.
This strangely reminds me of those fan fictions I used to read and write when I was in high school and it makes…
the only similarity between this and c&v is the smut ;) and the lack of an actual plot. it's for those days when you just need something light and short.
Like everyone else, I'm def getting TharnType vibes and also Oxygen vibes.... Oxygen was super promising in the…
Same. Keam is still a mystery to me. He looks at everyone like he likes them a lot lol I am watching this with no expectations because it looks like all fluff like Oxygen (in my opinion). I hope it proves me wrong.
I am watching the 3 seasons simultaneously and I finished this one first. It was a lot of fun and laughter. Cried a few times during the last few episodes.
Henry and Jim's brains are on the same wavelength haha!
contrary to majority of the comments, I love the chemistry between the main leads. on another note, i'm glad that they did not forced a coupling between Pure and Waan. Love their unexpected friendship. It may not be the best BL this year but this is definitely better than a number of other "hyped up" series.
P.S. I can't stop gushing over Pai. He went from cute to a hottie within 12 episodes.
Lots of room for improvement but it's a start. We don't get a lot of BL in a historical setting so I wouldn't call this a flop. The chemistry fell a tad short because let's face it 10 minutes is not enough with a few other characters included. The second lead was an unnecessary addition - time should have been devoted to the leads instead.
It got predictable for me at some point but that did not stop me from waiting for new episodes to be loaded. I guess it has something to do with the main leads' acting, their chemistry and how good the supporting characters are.
P.S. There are times when I really wanted to drop it but Darren's smile pulled me through 24 episodes.
