LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama. I have no expectations at all when I started. I was filtering through MDL for a rom-com historical romance C-drama and I stumbled upon this gem.

The characters are easy to love. Each and everyone of them. They are officially my historical #squadgoal.

The plot is solid too (if you ignore the time travel chuchu). Keep in mind that this is rom-com but I love how they solved everything in a funny way. I was laughing out loud in some scenes because I know something funny will happen any moment.

The romance is not cringe-y for me but rather they look natural regardless of how raw they are as actors.

While this may be a low budget drama, it exceeded my expectations and I was very satisfied with the hours I spent watching these two seasons.

If the age gap and the male lead's age in the drama are putting you off, I tell you, it is worth watching. I don't mind dramas portraying a big age difference between the leads but this one is a different case because the male lead is acting as a 15-year-old high school student. The best thing about this is that it shows the ugly side of this kind of relationship. As an audience, it will make you realize why society frowns upon this kind of relationship. It was romanticized by the female lead but it also showed how ugly it can be. 12 episodes, 20-minute or so each, but it will leave you with a lot of life lessons. At what point in our life do we start choosing what we need over what we really want?

P.S. If you are under 18 and not comfortable with explicit scenes, skip this.

Perfect amidst the chaos

I was expecting crazy based on all the comments here in MDL and I got it and more LOL This show is everything!!!

I got to hand it to the actors though, I was ready for crazy, chaotic, and comedy but they nailed all the emotional scenes (weird costumes be damned).

After watching the series, I get why it's called YYY - you will ask yourself "why???" at least three times in every episode HAHAHA

The icing on the cake is the visuals of the main leads and the chemistry. I wish it has more episodes but I am happy we are getting season 2.

If you have been hesitating to watch this drama for a while now, this is your cue to start now. This drama is gold!

Yes, it is a low budget film.
Yes, the time-travel concept is overused in dramas.
Yes, the actors are not very popular.

These three things are also the reasons why I love this film. If you are tired of historical C-dramas that break your heart with plot twists and deaths, this drama will refresh your mind. While the plot may seemed simple and overused, I think it was well thought of and the concept of horoscope as characters is new (to me, anyway, lol)

I do not skip parts even with the villains. There are no unnecessary monologues, dialogues and flashbacks. Every episode is only about 20 minutes long (if you skip the opening and closing credit - I do because I hate spoilers). Not one episode made me feel like the story is dragging.

The icing on the cake is that every character is gold. The humor gets better every episode. The best news? There's a second season!!! My expectations were not that high to begin with because of the premise of the drama which is why I was surprised when I actually loved it. Enjoy!

"Do not let anyone go through their worst days alone"

I am not the type to always write a review after completing a series. I love leaving comments here and there but for this one I felt I should leave a review for those on the fence about starting this series.

Top 3 reasons why I fell in love with YMS:
- The writing. The conversations and exchanges between characters are well-written. The headline is one of the many lines that stuck with me.
- The cinematography. This was shot beautifully. The colors. The transitions.
- The characters. The individual characters each have something unique to offer, the couples have great chemistry and sexual tension and most of all we don't have an evil, conniving character.

One thing to keep in mind before watching is that it's very slow and very fast at the same time. The slowness and softness of every scene feels very comforting while the time skips at the end is not everyone's cup of tea - it is very realistic to me.

Lastly, it has the perfect balance of fluff and angst. (if you're looking for tongue kisses then this is not it for you.)

As one of the couples say: "Go or no go?" Definitely a go!

This is my fifth review. I don't leave reviews for every drama I have watched but this one deserves to have one. It stirred up a lot of emotions in me and the most overwhelming is nostalgia. This drama made me miss my youth - my highschool friends, my first love, my first kiss, my first heartbreak, my college dreams, the warmth of a family, of a group of friends who are as important as your family. If you are in your teen years, watch this, and learn from it. You will experience many things in your life but never overlook the importance of family and friends. It will teach you not to be afraid to take risks, to dream, to hope. It will make you laugh like a lunatic and cry like a baby. It will break your heart and sew it right back up but it will never be the same.

The actors are the best in the roles given to them. I love every one of them. My ship did not sail but I am still happy with the way things ended (that does not mean I was not brokenhearted). Prepare a lot of tissues and do not eat while watching this. You will either wipe your tears or choke LOL

I don't rewatch dramas. I believe in moving on and finding new treasures in the drama world. This is different. Every time I see the OST in my YouTube feed, a photo in my Facebook News Feed, or a tweet about them, I have this overwhelming urge to watch again. The acting is not topnotch but the story and the friendship are one for the books. This is the kind of love you hope everyone in the world experiences at least once in their lifetime.

The squad is goals. If you have friends like these in the real world, consider yourself very, very lucky. The second lead syndrome is strong but you know the ending is how it should be. If you haven't watched it yet, consider yourself lucky because you get to experience how I felt the first time I saw it.

It will make you miss your mom

The story revolves around a single mom and her three kids but regardless it will make you miss your mom after watching. This is an eye-opener to how much a mother can endure for the sake of her children. The trials the children have to go through and the pain the mother felt while watching them go through it all.

The actors are all top-notch and they are the number 1 reason why I decided to watch the series.

The last 3 episodes reduce me to tears. Overall, a great watch with wonderful lessons centered on forgiveness.

Thank you Xavier and Mico for making me fall in love all over again.

I wanted kilig and they delivered. I was not expecting this much chemistry!!!

I live for BL kisses well-delivered but I am not even mad this has none. That hug? Aaaggghhhhh! I felt it through my screen.

I was squirming and biting my pillow while watching their cute interactions. I cried every freaking time Mico cries. JC is one hell of an actor. Tony alone can drown the screen with charm but this show did not stop there - Seph and Kookai is super cute, Junjun is heaven sent and Crystal (bless her, may she find someone too). Let's not forget Miss Tina Moran's iconic lines hahahaha

The length of each episode is just right. The angst will make you frustrated and the cute moments will make you squeal. The perfect light and fluffy romance.

I watched the drama a few years back and today I decided to watch the movie - the best decision ever. Watching it before the drama is not recommended because things might be a bit confusing. Watching it right after finishing the drama might feel lacking because you have already grown attached to the actors in the drama and the movie is waaaaayy shorter. If you have just finished the drama and can't get enough of it so you decided to come here - patience is the key. I really enjoyed the movie because of two things - I get the flow of the story even though there were a lot of things happening at once and I did not compare the actors between the drama and the movie. Overall, I enjoyed it and I realized how much I loved the drama before.

I did not watch this movie with the same expectations I had with the original Korean movie but still it disappointed me big time. I did not understand the flow of the story at all. The plot was very weak. The characters are weak. The acting downright cringey. There was no chemistry between the main leads. I don't even understand why there was a second couple. I did not see the sassy girl in her - she was simply a bully. The male lead was not submissive but plain stupid. Too bad I found him cute at first. Okay, end of rant.
