for me, i thinks of those as differents stage of this movie, with each focus on different character, or at least thats how i enjoyed this movie. its also a horror/exorcism with a novel directing, so theres that too for me.

i dont know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, i feels like its ok as long as it doesnt contradict the story and/or characters. also i think the hint was just always there and Soon Tae seems shady af since the beginning so im not that surprised.
