"It felt like I didn't exist outside of Kang Seojoon" The first season mainly focused on Seojoon's life that it felt like Jiwoo was just a love interest to Seojoon. He has some depth and we were able to understand him based on the little things he did, but we understood Seojoon more cause it mainly focused on him. But in S2, even though it seems like it focuses on Seojoon, this is actually Jiwoo's season, and just like how Jiwoo thought he didnt exist outside of Seojoon, us viewers don't see him as a person with flaws, but rather a person who hurt the precious lovable Seojoon. I for one am glad that this season exists. Just like how Seojoon is surrounded by people, the audience stick by Seojoon, and just like how Jiwoo was alone, we viewers believe that Jiwoo isn't deserving of Sejoon's love.
I don't completely accept that he feels sorry, and I wish this season was longer so we could see that Jiwoo didn't mean what he said. This is not to justify what Jiwoo did, but I think the audience is pissed off at Jiwoo because we see how much the breakup affected Seojoon. Jiwoo did not think him leaving would change Seojoon's life at all. He thought SJ would move on easily. It wasn't until he read the messages did he realize that Seojoon was in just as much pain as him, so I'm curious as to what he would do in the last episodes . We saw a little of his POV in 7&8, but I need to see both Jiwoo and Seojoon have a HUGE talk in order for me to fully accept their endgame.
It's amazing how a 10 episode show was able to depict characters with depression, phobias, lack of self love, how someone sacrificing too much can lead to other's feeling guilt, and loneliness . It will always be the best bl for me
