It seems this drama is released but unable to pinpoint which platform it is shown. Some online sources says Tencent; some says Prime. Let me know if you have figured out and watched it.

I appreciate it more from the overall romantic vibe rather than the logic - the chemistry between the leads, costume, cinematography, backdrop and background music - forms a lovely blend. As for the logic, I suspect a lot is trimmed along with the explanation, for example why did Er Yu has the same tattoo that DongYue did on Feng Xi since he was from a previous life before DongYue was resurrected?

She was the last survivor of the battle, does not seem she was a general.

This is a fantasy drama and a lovely romance story. It is underrated here. I gave it a 9.5 in my review.

Thanks for asking me - great to know someone appreciates my opinion. You guess it right - the second female lead did become vengeful as further misunderstanding aggravated the relationship. But on the whole this is not a tragedy. There are a lot of humour which lighten the mood - I gave it a high rating because of the humour. The story is quite predictable for most part. If you can understand Mandarin, you might appreciate the humour better. Watch a few more episodes and you can decide.

If you have depression, don't watch this. The ending is very dark.

This drama is excellent. The battles are very well choreographed and it looks like a high budget production. The backdrop are very realistic and the cast plays their part well. I think it is underrated on this website. It is a rarity to see Zhang Zi Yi in a drama. She did very well in this drama.

Agreed. But if a fairy and a merman became demons, and Floral Valley became Demon Valley that is kind of out of wack - the writer should make a bit more effort. And I presume the novel is in Chinese, so it won't help with the English synopsis.

I knew that. My sources were always: I had watched it. Often the silly editor refused to accept that. And I told them to go watch the drama if they wanted to argue with me. So I gave up on them.

The synopses of Chinese dramas on mydramalist need to be polished up - a lot of inaccuracies in the stories and use of words. The Taoist hierarchy of 'gods' are not really matched in English language but use of gods, deities, fairies and demigods could make the hierarchy a bit clearer. YunHe is not a demon master; she is more of a fairy or demigods. And the merman is not a demon. It is not Demon Valley but Floral Valley. Has the writer watched the drama before writing?

Should name it 'The Eternal Wait'. :)

This drama is really good and I am surprised at some of the extreme negative reviews about. It looks like this drama evokes extreme reactions - you either hate it or love it. There are some imperfection you could nitpick at, of course, as with most dramas. But on the whole it is very well produced. My other half does not like watching long dramas, but for this, he actually sat down and watch most part of it with me. I was unsure of how to rate it after I watched it the first time. But when I watched it again the second time, I am convinced how good it is and appreciate it more. I would even place it in the same league as Nirvana in Fire or Ten Mile Peach Blossom, although not in the same genre as the latter. A tip to viewers: do not watch or read any spoilers - it takes away the suspense - the starting and ending snapshots already gave away too much.

A realistic ending is a good start - not trying to manipulate the ending to suit the audience or promote the drama. However, having said that, I favour a drama where the good (even if a little flawed/cunning but well intentioned) and smart eventually wins, but am alright with the sacrifice of the foolish/side characters and defeat of the evil. Righteousness should prevail.

You must watch the Untamed, a fantasy drama. That's my all time favourite. Btw I gather you are based in US?

This drama story is not well developed. That doctor scene led to nothing - it's almost like an entire episode was deleted - or it is just to keep viewers watching.
