Even though it is not exactly the type of series I usually enjoy, I have nothing but praise for it. The set design is beautiful, and the actors have amazing chemistry. Honestly, I think 20 episodes would have been perfect for the story. I have to admit I kind of just watched it on autopilot after episode 19. Still, I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance. It feels like a sunny sunday afternoon.
started watching and recognized the hotel where the FL works from other series (I think it’s absolutely gorgeous). Out of curiosity, I looked it up and found out its name is Hotel Xianghu Xiaoyao Manor. In case anyone here, like me, likes and recognizes the place, I’m leaving the project link — it’s really beautiful.
I wasn’t expecting much given the premise of the series and yeah it’s all pretty silly but the protagonist who is supposed to have this cheerful and happy personality has such a sad look in her eyes that sometimes it feels like she’s actually depressed and just trying to mask it LOL.
What a masterpiece, just perfect... Bailu once again bringing us great work. It's such a joy to follow her career choices. I had never seen anything with Ao Ruipeng before, but I’ll definitely check out more of his work. That Labrador-like personality of his really comes through in his eyes, I need to find out if it’s the actor or the character, haha! The setting and costumes are stunning, and the supporting characters have well-developed, meaningful storylines and everything ties together with purpose and clarity. The story is truly beautiful. And the cast is excellent just flawless performances from everyone!
Wow, this series starts off great and then after episode 10 it gets even better??? So good! I’m on episode 21 now. I watched five episodes straight without even checking my phone or the time. On top of that, everything is visually stunning, the dialogues are excellent. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a show with this level of quality.
This series is bad. The FL is really terrible—her acting is just bad. As for the ML, I've already seen him in…
I just found out the actress has 15 years of experience, so I’ll blame the script instead. She looked uncomfortable, and the two have no chemistry at all.
This series is bad. The FL is really terrible—her acting is just bad. As for the ML, I've already seen him in like three other series with this SAME storyline (someone, please give him a different role, for the love of God). They start having problems before they even have anything going on—there's not even a honeymoon phase. It starts off really boring
Omg, totally! Or maybe they just weren’t paying attention. He’s been super repressed since childhood, there…
Yes, that's so cruel. I'm already furious at his grandmother. How can you blame a child for their parents' death? Growing up feeling all of that must be horrible.
Even after EP 6 if people are still complaining about the ML acting like a child and not fit for the role, then…
Omg, totally! Or maybe they just weren’t paying attention. He’s been super repressed since childhood, there was no way he was gonna turn out any different, in my opinion.
I found a drama with that old-school vibe we used to watch. It's good and keeps you hooked, but I don’t know…
WTF, he found out that his grandpa/dad killed her brother and just took off to the middle of nowhere, leaving her alone, confused, and traumatized after everything she went through?! That is THE ONLY reason I gave it a 7.5.
Other than that, I think it’s a solid drama—good actors, good plot (though after episode 9, we pretty much have everything figured out, and the dragged-out ending gets a bit tiring).

And to think I almost didn't watch it because of Esther Yu (whom I don't like much because I find her too over the top)
